Has anyone here ever turned down a promotion because they felt they needed more experience first? :laugh2:. I'm sure Garrett believes he is fully capable of leading a team as a HC.

On the other hand, the Skins' DC Gregg Williams has turned down HC interviews to stay with the Skins. I feel that was because of 1) $$$ and 2) there may be an agreement that he takes over after Gibbs and 3) because he has been a HC before and knows the grass isn't always greener. Jones has the ability to offer Garrett HC-type money and the role of heir-apparent, but it's up to Garrett to decide whether he wants to be a HC now.

I think NOW that its playoff time... those shackles come off.
There is no tomorrow if we dont win.

I think there's something to it as well... there was one play in particular last weekend where I swear Romo coulda scored if he took off - but chose to throw to a fairly well-defensed receiver instead.

that whole thing is just nonsense: goodell should NEVER approve that move.....it's an advance in NAME only. everyone knows that parcells will control every final decision, esp. regarding the gm role capacity.....

outthedoorbill.....i saw that play: i can understand it, in that game (he would've gotten a first down, or maybe a td, though); but i hope to see 2-3 runs by romo, for each playoff game: that forces the d to account for that element, as well.....and it can make a big difference......

Considering how our offense has tanked the past month and all the guys who are so worried about the fact that we can't run the ball and we can't score a TD without TO....why should we think that Garrett is an offensive genius? One guy goes down and we stink?

He'd better be a really good interview because our lack of success without TO has to be questioned.

My guess is that Garrett is probably an excellent interviewee

i have a gut feeling that he would be very good for the cowboys for a long time: never argue with a man, and his gut feeling......:)

Good point.

Maybe we all need to put the "anniomint oil" away for Garrett. Like you said, 1 guy goes down on offense and we cant even score a freaking TD anymore?

I would love to keep Garrett, but if he decides to bail after Jerry took a BIG risk on him, I am not going to lose any sleep over it. Same with Sporano, if he wants to go, let him.

Nobody is irreplacable folks, nobody.:)
