where are we at on this? At one point the board had pretty divided opinions on which is the better QB.

So I wanted to check in to get an idea of where we stand now. I've said from the beginning that I thought Dak was the superior talent.

How about you?

And yes I'm aware this subject has been discussed quite a bit, so please spare me the lectures on thread counts and merges.

Give Dak the Eagles defense and see how much better we look. Wentz has far more opportunities to showcase his talent because his defense is giving him the ball back a lot. Also, his defense is the reason for many of those wins. Actually, all of them. Dak has put this team on his back and actually LED them. I have yet to see Wentz do that. He also didnt seem to comfortable coming back from behind against an inferior team on the road. Dak doesnt get phased. Ever, its actually quite remarkable.

Wentz doesn't play defense. Shouldn't you be saying "Give Wentz the Cowboys' O-line, Zeke and Dez?" I'm not saying Wentz is better than Dak. I just don't understand how you can discredit Wentz because of a good defense but can't see that Dak has protection and weapons that no other QB in the league has.

Both guys have shown they have the skills to succeed in the NFL.

I think it's too short a time to call either a "franchise" QB, but they have both shown they at least belong in the NFL which is far more than what most rookie QB's show.

Dak obviously will have the better career and end up not only going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame but having it renamed in his honor. Wentz will flame out after taking a few too many hits and becoming paranoid that Risen Star is stalking him (although Risen Star is stalking him).

They are both better than Derek Anderson and from what I saw last night, Jamies Winston!

You act like our defense is trash this year.

Dak hasnt had Dez for 2 games now and hasnt missed a beat. You are telling me that Beasely/Williams/Butler are better than Agholor or Matthews? The Eagles O line isnt exactly bad. 3 pro bowlers on that line. we have 4. We have them beat at RB ill give you that.

Wentz, at least to my untrained eye, has a stronger arm and is a bit more accurate. That's why he was drafted #2 and Dak wasn't drafted until the 4th round.

I'll still take Dak because of everything else he brings to the table. Personality, hard work, cool as ice, really athletic, etc. Dak is the complete package. QB mechanics can be worked on. The rest of that? That's just him as a person.

AND we didn't have to give up the farm to get him while the Eagles did. Nope. I'm taking Dak.

Cincy was a step in the right direction, but the kind of pressure we got in that game has not been typical. Our secondary is playing well as long as officials allow us to continue getting away with being physical. Our linebackers have been hit and miss.

We're allowing a 65 percent completion rate, which is 26th in the league, and 4.6 yards per carry, which is 29th. If not for our offense controlling the ball, our defensive numbers would surely be worse.

I won't say that it's trash, but it is still our weak link. Its play against Cincy gives me hope that it won't stay that way.

I wish the Browns drafted Wentz. Both teams, through small sample to have their next QB. I am impressed with both. Wentz got hurt, played virtually no preseason and was named starter 8 days before the season. He is completing 80% of his passes when blitzed, which is unreal. Dak is helping lead the league in 3rd down conversions, has a maturity beyond his years and won't be a celebrity quarterback.

Both are playing great football. Wentz is unreal vs the blitz. When the Eagles opened the Monday night game @ Chicago in a no-huddle/empty back set, it was obvious the confidence level their coaches have in him. He went 10/10 in empty sets...changing plays and calling the shots. Dak vs Wentz will be fun to watch for the next decade.

This is a couple weeks old, but Pat Kirwan discusses Wentz

Our O-line is superbly better than theirs, so is our RB. I'm not discounting what Dak has done. I'm just saying you can't really discredit Wentz because he has a great defense. Wentz doesn't play defense.

When 90 percent of your throws are within 5 yards. I will discount it. Not to mention. His defense has actually won him games. It's a lot easier playing knowing if you mess up your defense can and most likely will bail you out. That's all I'm saying
