Cherokee-owned agency sues Cowboys' legend Emmitt Smith over Texas solar deal

Yeah that's what most people would see it at but let's not get into that here this is about football and stuff and that's why I don't even really want to comment further on the story the story's a story until it's proven otherwise....

The only ones that can make claim to being Native Americans are ones that seemingly we're here from the beginning from the very very very beginning in evolution they were the first people that have their feet on this dirt That makes them Native American everything else was shipped over here just because we were born 345 generations later doesn't make us Native Americans We just are now Americans..

That's the way I see it and that's OK that if someone sees it otherwise.. It's not a big deal I think that they need to stop talking about people's race or backgrounds when they talk about this it just try to get more emotions tied to it that's the problem just say that Emma Smith is in a legal battle 'cause he might have ripped somebody off that's it you don't need to make headlines by saying Native American...

Poor Pete he got cut from the Cowboys A poor guy was Native American and he didn't make the Cowboys roster We should be having an uprising over that..
The "native Americans" you are referring to are actually native Siberians.

“Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith and his commercial real estate firm have been accused of cheating a Native American investor out of $2.5 million as part of an alleged solar project scheme, according to a lawsuit filed in Delaware.

According to the filing, Smith and Mosley used the loan to repay Darrel Wilson and his company, Wilson Holdings of North America, “with whom they had partnered on other ventures.” Kituwah alleges the arrangement functioned “like a Ponzi scheme,” claiming the funds were secretly earmarked to “improperly pay” Wilson Holdings.”

“One of the greatest players in NFL history was sued by a Native American economic development agency on Monday, claiming the star defrauded the organization out of millions of dollars meant for a Texas solar project investment.

In a complaint filed in Delaware Chancery Court on Monday, Kituwah Energy—a business entity owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians—accused former Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith and several business partners of fraudulently inducing it to fund $2.5 million for a proposed Texas solar farm in 2023”

The facts on one point seem to be uncontested. Emmitt and his partner did sign a promissory note for $2.5m that was due in 2024 that they never made good on. Whether or not it was a ponzj scheme will be decided in court unless there’s a settlement.

This is a civil, not criminal, situation
Sounds like Emmett had very little to do with it...other than have his name involved. Whenever I hear the word "investors"....You can 100% find something shady going on behind the money. Sad that someone would use Emmett's credibility this way...but it's the crap society we live in today. Be better people...it's not hard!!!!

...sad seeing Emmit disappear like white dwarf, teaming up with Farve on extracurricular activities.

Chief "Iron Eyes Cody" would shed another tear like he did in the "Keep America Beautiful" commercials if he was still with us.

Only atonement and reparations will make the Cherokee nation whole again

Interesting. Tried to read other sources for more information.
Nothing more of note.

Sort of surprised it took Kituwah nearly 2 years to file a lawsuit. Sure these things take time to investigate, but if the solar farm was supposed to be done by end of 2024...

Guess, if true, once you get into big debt, you can do dumb things, but can't fathom how some can just try to imagine they would get away with this.

Just my take since there is little out there about this
I really doubt Emmitt knows much about what was going on

Since when Pretty sure we can go all the way back to the history of how Thanksgiving started Do we need to bring all that up III think that we need to signal out it was a Native American I think that's horrible for the story it may happen to been a Native American A lot of us who were born in America have some kind of Native American bloodiness at least many of us it can claim 1% of Native Americans somewhere in our historic evolution..

Story should be Emma Smith's involved in what possibly allegedly a cheating scandal of ripping somebody off I don't like it when they plug in a certain sect of society that's ridiculous you're trying to pull on the heartstrings of somebody and no it just would be bad if this is true. It doesn't matter who he ripped off Race they were where they came from..

But right now I'm not gonna listen to this story because it doesn't involve me or an actual Dallas Cowboy I don't care what Emma Smith doing right now I mean his son's in the NFL right or at least he's trying to hang on.... But outside of that these stories don't interest me at all i'm not going to open it I'm not going to read it and I really don't care what happens but hopefully it's untrue Some people like to target the public court of opinion even though maybe they had something to do with being taken obviously made a bad investment but now want to blame somebody for it obviously made a bad investment but now want to blame somebody for it.
Ummmm, this story 100% involved a Dallas Cowboy, a Hall of Fame one. Does Troy working for the Fish interest you? Did you read the story behind him working for them? What a strange response to a story about 22....

Thats a lot of rambling stream of consciousness virtue signaling just to tell us that you didn’t read the article and don’t care about the subject, all it while blaming the people who were ripped off.
I am always surprised to find out there are people that don't keep him on ignore that have been here for more than a week.

Just my take since there is little out there about this

Tons of solar scams going on.
