It was a chore, but I managed to change the battery...in a flurry of expletives, of course.:D

Eventually, I became so flustered that I cut through the rubber insulation on the positive terminal and unscrewed it. Thankfully, I avoided electrocution.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback.

Either works fine. If you can reach the negative terminal, great, use it.

If not, find a piece of metal. Useful info to have thats all.

I'll say cause I wanted to beat my battery to death when I had to do it. :D

Yeah the alternator went bad and drained the battery and when they replaced the alternator they replaced the battery too.
