Mods, is it okay if we have one today? So we gutless wonders can contain our paranoia and convictions of impending doom to one central lunatic rant?

I for one am having a mental breakdown over this game - not because I fear a loss but because I fear learning just how far we still are 'behind' - and don't want to pollute the entire board with my pitiful lack of faith and obsessive, masochistic end-is-here nonsense.

PS I expect Terry to do absolutely nothing today - just like he did in the other games vs Philly.

I had us losing this game, somewhat handily. And not necessarily because we will perform so poorly.

This, IMO, will serve as another step in our growth process. We are not ready for the Philadelphia Eagles just yet.

Per your prognosis regarding Terry Glenn. Make that double for me, except I don't think either of our starting wideouts will do anything today. That is something Jimmie Johnson's defense has been able to do to us: take away our outside receivers. And I am afraid Drew Bledsoe takes one hellacious beating.

I do see Jason Witten enjoying a relatively fine afternoon.

I'm retracting that prediction. :laugh2:

After all, as a Cowboy, Terry has only faced the Eagles with Q as his QB, got shut out in one game, and had five receptions (but with pretty low YPC in the first).

He didn't play in either game against Philly with Vinny under center, and I think Drew will have the confidence to not expect TG to have a mile wide cushion in order to throw to him.

So let me amend that.

Terry leaves the game with his league leading per reception yardage intact.

And at least one TD.

I happen to be more optimistic about this game than some. Of course I felt good about last week too. However, as I said in another thread....a loss with moral victories will do nothing for me. I fully expect the Boys to win today. This is a division game against a team that's dominated us and we must make a stand if we want to take the next step. Nothing should be held back today. This is the type of game that can define the team and give them the needed momentum to make the playoffs. No excuses today.....just win!
