Well actually you are the one comparing apples to oranges. People defending Dak by pointing out the here and there mistakes by other QBs is illogical, but is a result of the equally illogical and totally unreasonable standard we have set for him. He is an imperfect player who can be the QB of a very good team with the right players around him. That is what he is. Yeah the contract is not great, but what other option did we really have given the state of the team?

I haven’t sent unreasonable standards around him. I say he is what he is..

And then continue to incessantly whine about how he isn't Herbert? We agreed earlier Dak is what he is. Quite frankly the front office is focused on building a winning program and signing Dak back was our best route to potentially winning a title in the next few years. Do you think they all believe he is worth every dollar of 40 million? Absolutely not, but by signing him they gave us the best chance to win right now. Realistically Aikman was not capable of carrying a team like Rodgers or Brady, but wow! We won 3 Superbowls anyway. There are multiple paths to a title, and having a blue blood QB makes it much easier, but 90% of the teams in the league don't have that luxury.

No, we base it on his 50 TDs in 1 season, 1 AFC championship appearance where the only reason he wasn’t in the Sb is because Brady had the ball last, two SB appearances and in the path to his SB win, set a record for comebacks down at halftime in every game.

Mahomes has had several games in a row where he turned over the ball or had missed throws or made bad throws. The Chiefs defense won some of those games and did just enough to save Mahomes from taking a loss, in games where he either struggled in or wasn't putting up a lot of yards or points.

Interesting. Would you have rather signed Bridgewater, Newton, or Fitzmagic this season? Start Cooper Rush the whole season? I'm genuinely interested. Our roster is too good to tank right now. It would be a total waste.
