Chiefs/Cowboys on Thanksgiving day

Why are Dallas fans afraid of other teams, KC had struggles last year, and there were 4 games they won because their opponent missed a last second FG.
If they had to play a road playoff game, they would have not made it to the SB.

Dallas decimated by injuries, could have made a push to be a WC team. Keep the team healthy, they are still a WC team contender this year.

Dallas fans has a bunch of scared cats.
Grow up fans. There is no monster under your bed or in your closet. Not even Jerry is that scary. Just give him some JWB and he will purr like a kitten.
There are just certain teams we don't beat: the Chiefs, Broncos, and Cardinals are the immediate 3 that pop into my head.

A big game for I assume CBS. NFL bending over backwards to them after the Eagles game they gave them last year which was uncompetitive.
I thought we were Fox's Thanksgiving turkey?

The only two NFC teams I worry about are Philly and Detroit, because if both play their best game, we don't stand much of a chance against them.

The Chiefs look to be on the way down and are bound to suffer a SB hangover after the beating they took. I don’t expect them to be as good this year but not easy defending Mahomes unless you have a great defense.

Miserable people are incapable of being anything but miserable. That’s why they come here to be with other miserable people like them. Notice how they support each other? Pile on anything positive?

New year, new coaching staff, a very good draft and off season.
But FEAR away.
Just like, what was it, six years ago? lol

And then, what was it, a couple years ago with the exciting new Texas Coast offense? lol

This year will be different though, and SHAME on anyone for paying any attention at all to that pesky track record and expressing some pessimism.

Those darn "some fans" are ruining everything. lol

To me that is being a fan, looking forward to the new season and seeing how it unfolds. It makes all sports more fun,

Even if a fan thinks doom and gloom all the time until they actually win. They should have fun seeing how it unfolds. Not going into every game feeling depressed. I do know some fans are that way though.

I don’t live my life that way. But if that what others want to do. Don’t try bring me down to that level.
And when they fail, then so be it, it will not be the end of the world, again. 30 years again. lol.
I will wait all off season again. And be the same way. Make my jokes about failure and the FO, but also look at any possible positives.

I am not expecting miracles this year, nor do I think they are SB contenders. But damn, I will have fun watching games and see how it unfolds.

Perfect.....just like I like my Turkey...Mahomes deep fried on Thanksgiving. Could not ask for more....

.....KC gonna taste Mahomes turkey soup. Courtesy of Dak the chef.

Excellent accounting of what being a fan means to YOU.

You rightfully expect that you are free to be a fan in the way that suits you. The disconnect comes when you start criticizing "some fans" for being the version of a fan that suits THEM. You expect that you should be able to fan in the way that suits you, but actively condemn and criticize "some fans" for fanning in the way that suits them. For some reason you and a handful of others seem to take it personally when someone takes what can appear to be a negative outlook, then you lash out with a passive aggressive comment seemingly intended to exhibit your superiority as a fan. It's not the end of the world that others have a different opinion.

Just because a fan forms a negative opinion based on the realities they have witnessed over decades, doesn't mean they go into watching a game in a state of "gloom and doom", or "depression". This seems to be another common denominator among the need to be positive crowd. You/they assume the worst possible emotional state of the antagonist and use it against them as if it were a fact.

As far as the team goes. There are some foundational aspects of this team that have consistently failed over an extended period. The result of that is some fans are very likely going to recognize the pattern and adopt an attitude that leans more towards 'show me' than hopeful. There is nothing wrong with that and it seems the prudent thing to do.

When you start making it about the poster and not the post you are getting way out over your skis and that almost always ends up in a 'yard sale'.
