Cowboys would have kicked a field goal there
Sad thing is youre right

But this team has been winning for a long time and other than Brady there are not and haven't been any real "superstars". That's the odd thing about it.Meanwhile, a good "team" wins, then their players become superstars and then what really brought success was forgotten.

Can we trade 11 for Amendola?
Granted the Pats have outstanding talent in Grok and a HOFer in Brady.
But the rest of the skill position players aren't anything to write home about.
And their offensive line is perhaps the worst of any team left in the playoffs and wasn't even average this season.
Their play-calling is nothing to complicated either... pass, pass, pass, run, pass, pass, run, pass, pass, pass.

The play calling is what it is. The concepts that allow that playcalling
So you honestly think the reason they are successful is because Brady takes two or three steps and throws?
It is a well designed, concepts-based offense that is aggressive on how it places stress on a defense and their plays are structurally designed to be quick to afford the QB that luxury.
The Chiefs OL might be worse. Definitely at pass pro. If the Chiefs were getting the pressure the Pats are, they would be winning. Or if Smith had as much time.
This Chiefs defense is giving these players far too much cushion. You can't do this against the Pats.
And I do agree the offense is well designed.
Part of the reason they are successful are the quick passes.

The cheater does okay there too.Apparently the defense is as well.
Big difference between the KC play calling and NE's. Smith is trying to hold the ball much longer. With Brady it's, hike the ball, a couple steps and release. Very difficult to put much pressure on the guy.
