Aah, the Rubic's cubes ...Hell Raisers.! .. compliments of Pin-Head.
If i could have a dollar or two for every hour i played with a stick as a machine gun as a kid i'd be well, i'd have some more money that's for sure.
I never had those but had friends that did and the game rarely lasted long before someone intentionally or accidentally threw one straight up in the air causing everyone to run for their lives.
Out of ideas already???
I still have those too. 3 brothers and zero incidents........although, my dad tried like hell.
My brothers and I might just be responsible for these things being taken off the market. We used to throw them high up in the air and see how close we could get to each others feet.
Sounds familiar, are we related?
RIP Lawn Darts. They were so awesome.
Score one for the nanny state protecting us even if we don't want it.
The funny thing is. I still use the term lawn dart. My buddy and I occasionally play golf video games. (currently The Golf Club 2019) When you're like 40-80 yards out and you hit a ball that drops right next to the cup and doesn't roll. That's called tossing a Lawn Dart.
Original Kenner 19". One of my favorite Christmas gifts at the time. When I hit 17 or 18 I figured I was too old for such things and tossed it. Man did I regret doing that.
Man ... how I loooved those View Masters !! .. especially all the Spider-Man tracks!
I didn't even know they made those! If I had a life-size one, I'd move whatever I had to out of the living room, just to fit it in there!
It was a long time ago - 79 or 80.
A fews years later I saw one in a flea market selling for 200.00. :/
As I got older I'd wished I'd kept it for it's cool factor.
LMAO, who would have ever thought there would be an accident with those? The surprising thing is they were around for a while without a reported incident.
Probably because people paid attention to where they were...unlike horseshoes, which are harmless.
I already have 5 brothers. My mother couldn't take another boy in the house. We drove her batty.
