No just land of the stupid. :laugh2: People need to figure out these wild animals are not pets and once you lose control over a situation you are at the mercy of an animal with tremendous physical abilities

Once upon a time, dogs and cats were wild animals.

The chimp, who was known to walk around town, sometimes without a leash, also liked to surf on the Internet and was able to change the TV channel with a remote, according to a Stamford Advocate article. The paper also reported that Travis watered plants, was able to feed hay to his owner's horses, ate at a table with the rest of the family and sometimes drank wine from a stemmed glass.

All this, yet he still had to wear a diaper.

Chimp to-do list:
  1. Water plants.
  2. Feed horses.
  3. Set DVR for "Lancelot Link" marathon on TV Land.
  4. Pick-up a nice Merlot for dinner.
  5. Crap pants.

Police could tell if the victim was a man or woman and radioed that the man’s face was torn off not know this was a female.

That's nuts and completely an avoidable aspect of life.
There's a ridiculous CNN addendum from Time.com, about what makes a 'good' chimp go bad.

As if taking a wild animal from it's natural habitat, putting it in diapers and treating it as something totally alien to it's nature isn't enough of a clue. It's not a matter of if, but of when.

They even tried to lay it on Lyme disease... how creative in his stupidity is man going to become?

Once upon a time so was man. There is a big difference between domesticated animals and wild animals that are extremely dangerous to the owner and more important to the public at large

I agree, this animal may have been no problem for years but in 1 instance he resorted to his own basic instinct, he did nothing wrong other than being what he was a wild animal even people who work with these animals know the danger they face regardless of how long they had that Animal. Dressing it up like a human does not make him human

This does kind of raise another question: Where the hell is PETA and other animal right's goons, in the face of this crap?

The poor dumb thing had to be shot dead, instead of simply having lived out it's life in it's natural habitat... Why? Because some dope thought it was a pet?

I agree the animal had to pay the price for the idiot owner and I yet to hear any animals rights organization say anything about it.
