The things I would point to in criticism of Kelly is failing to keep Desean Jackson on your roster or at least ensuring he goes to a team not in your division And why did he trot Fletcher out there to cover him after showing the league he couldn't cover Dez last week?

Who knows what happen with Jackson? I don't. You have to play with what you have, much like we do. Marinelli has done a great job of it.

Well we know what happens without him. Jackson personally sent them home on the outside looking in at the playoff race. Kind of poetic "justice" for DJ.

This is the thought I'm having as well thinking about the team's mentality going into this game. The twitter world will blow up about the Cowboys choking away the season all week if they lose today. They don't want to deal with that noise. #FinishTheFight

Yep..

Last year we had to put in Orton for the last game and Philly didn't have to deal with the insane amount of injuries Dallas did and it still came down to the final game. If Dallas make the playoffs this year he hasn't done more.

If we win the NFCE this year:

Kelly = 1 division title in 2 years with no HOF on the roster and journeymen QBs and starting QB lost for more that half the season
Garrett = 1 division title in 4 years with a franchise QB, HOF TE and first ballot HOF DE

You were saying ?

Huge choke job but not the biggest I've seen. That would be the Raiders in 1995. Started 8-2, ended up 8-8.

Dallas beat them in Oakland (I was 10 years old and at the game) to send them to 8-3. We also injured their QB, Jeff Hostetler, which led to their collapse.
The Skins started a season 7-1 in the nineties and missed the playoffs before.

The eagles have some holes to fill like we do. QB being the main one. Like some one else said, it's surprising he has done so much with the QBs he has. I'm sure his plan didn't include Sanchez starting, much like I would say Weedon wasn't in JG plan.

I actually like Kelly, and hope he sticks around the NFL; he will show if he is a good coach depending on how he bounces back form adversity like this....indirectly, he has changed things in the NFL somewhat, and change is good...of course, I wish he was with someone else so I couldn't relish in his defeats so readily, but I think the NFL is catching (has caught) up to his offense...let's not forget that while his system is great to watch (if you like offense), it depletes his defense week-in and week-out...it is showing now....

Kelly = good
Kelly losing while coaching the eagles = great

I want all the guys who claimed that Kelly is so great and Garrett is so bad to "Chip" on in here. Garrett's team plays with poise and the Eagles wet the bed.

I'd still rather have Chip Kelly over Jason Garrett.

Dallas just has better players and our OLine takes a lot of pressure off of our questionable passing schemes.

We hit the big play 3 times against Philly last week. I'm still worried how we will do when Romo is pressured and we aren't using slants, drags and bubble screens enough.

Our schemes are so basic. We should be 14-0. Go Cowboys.

media won't talk about this.

Agree. Their " darlings" have been exposed, and they won't treat them like Dallas if we had just lost 3 in a row, and in each of those games your QB threw 4th quarter picks that lead to the losses.

Philadelphia Fight Song

Chip Kelly was not the Savior
On the Commanders we did not feast
The Cowboys won and our team choked
I can't believe they'll win the east

So all we want for Christmas
Is a dust rag if you please sirs
Our trophy case is still empty
Because we're as bunch of losers

Some adds.

We like to think we fly like a Bird,
But in reality we play like a Turd.
So now its not Fly Eagles Fly,
It's Die, Eagles , Die....

He could still succeed running a similar spread, read-run type of offense, but by controlling the clock and actually exploiting mismatches and more.

He won't, and he'll have a short stint in the league. It's the modern day wildcat. He's a glorified Tony Sparano.

Like that comparison to the wildcat. As you watch the Eagles run it, and aren't bedazzled by all the movement you can see it predicated on getting the RB to go the opposite direction of the QB so those quick guys ( McCoy/Sproles) can hide behind the lineman and burst down the
sideline.

Especially liked how Washington stoned that for the most part at the line of scrimmage when they did try to run straight at them..

Exactly. It dispels any notion that Sanchez was "screwed" by the Jets and Rex Ryan. He's just not very good.

Even Foles is only a step up. I like what Chip is trying to build, but he needs to stop fooling himself and realize he needs to get a legitimate NFL quarterback on that roster.

I heard Cutler might be available. :muttley:
