Huge choke job but not the biggest I've seen. That would be the Raiders in 1995. Started 8-2, ended up 8-8.

Dallas beat them in Oakland (I was 10 years old and at the game) to send them to 8-3. We also injured their QB, Jeff Hostetler, which led to their collapse.

Supreme choke. They talked all that junk thinking they had everything wrapped up after the thanksgiving game. You can tell they lost focus and when they got blown out by Seattle they got nervous when Dallas beat Chicago. Our victory over them was the final blow to their confidence. That defense got exposed.

I think this...

From a masochistic point of view, this is really hard on the Eagles - nearly dead, but not officially dead for a couple of weekends. If Dallas wins, Philly has to pray GB, Det, or Sea lose last two games....correct me if this is not exactly right. So if any of these four teams lose this weekend, then win the next, that will cause maximum misery for Eagle fans.

If Dallas wins, Philly is eliminated.

9-3 overall. 3-0 in the NFC East. Two games at home where you are 6-0 on the season. The World is your oyster.

Back to back losses at home, a 3rd straight loss to an 8 point underdog.

This is one of the worst choke jobs of all time.

They had a choke in 1993 that was worst, started 7-2 and finished 7-9

For the division title.

For a wildcard berth, they have a feeble chance if...IF AZ, Detroit, or Seattle just drop their last two games?

Maybe it's possible I'm reading from a dated sports article

I don't see how they could qualify as a wild card since they lost to Az, Seattle and Detroit has a better conference record.

They did choke, epic choke. Sanchez sucks. Quarterback play is the difference between a playoff team and a none playoff team. I've always said it. It's also the difference between going to Super Bowls or not. This is why they make the big bucks. They aren't paid to make excuses.

In another 18 hours, Philly may officially be dead.

I'd love to impersonate one of their fans when it happens, but fear I'd get arrested. :D

Totally agree. It not only taxes your defense but also the offense as well. Why wear yourself out early playing hurry up. Then when comes crunch time in the 4th they are too tired to do anything. The system will be gone in a year or so when they realize that it doesn't which QB they put back there. They will still get the same results.

I always thought it would wear on an NFL team to play that way. It makes a difference when that scheme is run by 19 and 20 year old men for 11 games vs. a team with an average age of 26+ over 16+ games.

Yeah big choke. I think Kelly is an awesome coach but his system is not foolproof and he needs a qb. Foles isn't much better than Sanchez

which is why no one has tried it in the NFL until Chip. Only on a college team where you have 85 on your roster and play a fair number of duds each season can you run that kind of O.

I want all the guys who claimed that Kelly is so great and Garrett is so bad to "Chip" on in here. Garrett's team plays with poise and the Eagles wet the bed.

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm happy as any one that the Eagles choked. Kelly has still done more with less than JG in two years.
Sanchez finally came back down to earth. This was an attempt to lift JG up on a pedestal by the OP.
Plus the job isn't finished quit yet. Win today.
