Somebody here (I forget who) posted the Eagles would lose because they were not focused on them, rather who the Boys would play.

It's actually really remarkable how many games the Eagles have won. 24th in passer rating allowed and 25th in offensive passer rating. Teams with that kind of differential usually go 3-13.

It works when you can recruit the fastest guys in the nation and can sub them out frequently, but not when you're limited as you are in the NFL.

Itll go the way of the wildcat and the read option and meanwhile at VR its plain old ball control eat up the clock boring old outdated football.

The Eagles display a lot of poor tendencies, and I think Chip is going to have to reassess how he manages some things. We are already see him starting to change his approach to not milking the clock when necessary.

With that said, I think he still needs to be credited for building a playoff contender on a team that is rotating through quarterbacks each season. He went from Vick to Foles last year, and Foles to Sanchez this year. No disrespect to our coaches or any other team's staff, but how many teams win 9 games annually with that garbage bin of quarterbacks?

They have a very good d line and Oline. You can mask a lot of warts with strong play on the LOS and decent skill position players. It's a good scheme and they will be contenders but it's just a bit too finesse for my liking. Not sure if they are built for January football.

their problems are way deeper than that. They have no CBs, their OL is getting old. Kelly offense is good for fantasy football but doesn't measure up last in season as it gets colder and defenses tighten down.

For once we agree.

"Hurry up to go three and out, hurry up to turn it over, hurry up to lose... hurry, hurry the defense needs to get on the field again so the Cowboys can run it over to a three score lead, hurry up to lose to teams you could be playing conventional football against and whipping soundly, hurry up and choke the season away, you must go faster..."

It's a fad, gimmick offense and it won't ever win big in this league, against players of professional caliber. It needs a resounding talent advantage at almost all position groups to exploit teams the way Kelly envisions. The talent balance amongst teams is so close that I don't think it's possible.

I like Chip Kelly's philosophy on the hurry up offense on steroids. But it looks good ONLY on paper. I don't think his system is going to last. Foles and Sachez leading the league in turnovers is no fluke. I think its the system. When you don't huddle up to call plays that they practice many times during the week its going to cause turnovers. I think its a system that will come and go like the read option.

I will never understand the philosophy behind the Chip Kelly offense. Success in football comes down to moving the ball and stopping your opponent. If you don't do those things, all you achieve by running plays quickly is carving out more time for the opposition to score.

I've been bashing Chippy for 2 years now and his gimmick offense.

Whatcha gonna do next year Chippy when you have Foles as your starter again? Gee, the NFL is a wee bit harder than college you fool.
