I started a thread over at the Ranch during the fourth round of the '08 draft titled "Choice is the choice."

And then we traded down and my stomach spent the next half hour or so eating itself before we finally plucked Tashard Choice.

The rookie then immediately threw himself into special teams because it was what the team needed from its third string running back.

A lot of featured college backs would've balked at doing special teams grunt work thinking it was beneath them.

Choice is all about team.

Sure, he wants touches, all offensive players do, but he will do whatever the team needs him to do.

That's all he did in college with a team and a quarterback who weren't as talented as him. He just plays for the team, as you say.

There needs to be 5 carries a game for Choice. Regardless of the score or situation. Simple as that.

Absolutely, ... he earned that!

Each time he comes in he brings fresh legs and tremendous effort, .. plus the talents of a great RB.

He needs to be part of the gameplan every week.

I fear he won't be, and we will eventually let him go to another team, only to watch him become a great one elsewhere.

I think that MB will wear down in the next year or two and Choice will take his place. That is why I think he was drafted- the staff expects that with his running style MB will hit the wall in the next couple of years.

I like Choice to... But would you trade him for a good young Wide receiver? Not Ocho Stinko, Boldin or Marshall.. Somebody with upside that is young..

TC interview starts at 3:35, mainly about Tulius videos but some other things, too.

More on Scandrick vs. Jenkins before that.

I wouldn't mind seeing that a possibly a little more.

I want a rotation more than I want a series substitution. I also want to see multiple backs per series. Not a big fan of putting one guy out there for a possession and moving to the next guy on the next possession. Mix it up and get each of them out there on a single possession and get a couple of them out there for a handful of plays in each possession.

I love me some TC but I wonder how long he will stick in Dallas. If he plays well again this year there will be a market for the guy and as a 3rd back it would almost make too much sense if some team came knocking and offered a good deal for him.

No, if I was in charge, I would have it in the back of my mind that Choice could take over for Barber in 2-3 years and team with Felix for a long time. Barber could and should be traded when he still has good value left as soon as it is decided Choice is capable of doing the job.

CL, .. would you post the link to that show more often?

Living here is WV, I don't get to see anything like that, ever.

I really really enjoyed that, I would appreciate it if you would post that link again in the future.

thanks!

I can't claim it, WV... That's theebs' good work. Just go to youtube and search for "stadium229" (or google it) to find his uploads. He was out of town for a few weeks, but it looks like he's back now.

Yeh I hope we use him more early in the season to keep both Barber and Jones fresher not only for the 4th quarter but also for December/January and the Superbowl:D .
