Choice released from Buffalo

We should just bring back Troy Hambrick and his patented Dookie Stick move. I hear he was keeping himself in shape in the Florida Penal league.

What do voluntary mean?

EDIT: oh yeah, never mind that was his brother who said that. Troy is the one who got tackled by blades of grass.

People way over reacted to the autograph thing. Didn't bother me either way, these guys are friends off the field. They hang out and laugh and BS after games, its not like college where you hate the other guy.

You mean to tell me they act like wrestlers on the traveling circuit? Like the Boys greeting all the exes on the Raiders, whod uh thunk it?

I think when you look at a lot of rosters there usually isn't a lot of difference between the 2/3 on the depth chart. A lot of time it comes down to opportunities, I'm not saying that was the situation with choice, but it could be argued that was the situation with Bennett/Crayton. That's why you see so many players in the NFL change teams and excel, it's not the change of scenery, it's being given the opportunity to actually play.

Sometimes you can't properly evaluate talent in practice, some guys are practice well and others don't, they excel under pressure and on game day. I would never cut Randle as long as he's second on the depth chart, not unless you have a large enough sample of him as a starter.

Of course that's what it is. Michael Turner was LT's backup. I guess someone was holding him back from starting over the best running back in the game at the time lol. Or I guess Ben Tate is being held back by someone because he's not starting over Arian Foster. That criticism of TO is just insane. He "held" players back.

I am glad you two said this I was about to say the same thing. Its one thing to not like a player its another to make up baseless accusations about him. I would take 22 TO's. He had an excellent work ethic. Funny thing is people who don't even know dude can't stand him, but people who actually know him pretty much all like him, with a few exceptions.

Yeah I didn't like his paranoia and the whole "Witten and Romo are creating plays behind my back...." fiasco that occurred but if your following TO's career as far as his work ethic and his conditioning? HE's one of the best. You could do a lot worse. I also agree that TO needed to go at the time. THis locker room wasn't built for a TO to be in it. But by no means am I going to sit here and blame him for the careers of other players.

I liked Tashard, wouldn't mind bringing him back on an emergency basis, but as of right now, we have bigger concerns

Choice no. Now if Felix Jones got cut there might be some interest

Randle is a better option than choice. I'll pass

Not sure at the moment if Randle isn't Choice. They're very similar backs — good vision for attacking between the tackles, able to make multiple cuts on the move (although Randle seems a little bit niftier), not much speed.

no. we don't.
until they up roster sizes teams have to do this.

Upping the roster size doesn't resolve the problem. The junk is just on the roster now.

I disagree, I'm all about churning the bottom of the roster to keep the fringe players on their toes.

We aren't churning the bottom of the roster, our roster is positively pregnant with castoffs and also-rans. Every time a former Cowboy get's released we get a "should we get him" post - like we're running an alumni group.

This team has FAR too many players picked up from day labor pools. Not every team is starting half of it's defense with players who's resumes include 'WalMart greeter'. This is the result of crap drafts, long term contracts to older players, and an inability for us to cut loose dead weight when we have the chance. So, we have players sick, lame, or athletically incontinent especially on the defensive side of the ball. How many years do folks around here want to go through "next man up" because we have failed to adequately stock the middle reserves of this roster?

Folks on the street are there for a reason, we are starting frickin' Heath man. Because out of 53 our personnel department cannot find in the off season proper backups and third stringers.

"Bring back Tashard Choice" - Christ even WE didn't want him anymore...
