Choice to start?

Heard this on the 2 minute drill on Sirius. Is it true?

I'd be really surprised if they did that - if for no other reason than a "pecking order" perspective.

Whether Choice gets more carries or not, I still see Felix being named 'starter'.

I was listening to ESPN in the background and they had Michelle Tafoya on and she was talking about how Jones was excited for the opportunity to start and had been looking forward to this chance since his collegiate days.

Maybe she didn't have the correct info, though.

Which so far in his career has translated into Felix getting less then 10 touches a game.

Lets see what he has, he really hasnt gotten an opportunity to shine yet in my opinion.

Tonight would be a great time to find out just how much we could use Felix if need be, we know Choice can carry the ball 20 time lets see if *gasp* we can get Felix 10-15 touches for once rather then his usual 4-7. It doesn't matter how explosive he is if we're not going to use him, and if we're not gonna use him then why did we draft him?

I remember when due to injury Marion Barber got his 1st chance to start vs Arizona. he had 100+ yards and 2 tds. this team is stupid if they don't give Felix a chance to start and get 15-20 carries.

I don't think it matters who starts to be honest. I'm fine with Choice starting but I hope Jones gets a good 12 or 15 carries.

Same here and with only 2 backs in the line up I think we will see Felix getting more oppertunities

I agree - if Jones doesn't get at least 15 touches then Garrett is an idiot. Choice should get the rest.

Last year vs Skids I was ticked off on not using Felix but lately it seems (from the outside) they are leery of him being injured. Could be coincidence but he has been getting dinged often. May be they are just being cautious.

they should play him so his body can adapt to the beating of an NFL runningback. giving him 6 carries a game will only make him fragile.

That's like buying a nice car only to keep it in the garage without using it cause you're afraid of crashing.
