Choice to start?

Last year vs Skids I was ticked off on not using Felix but lately it seems (from the outside) they are leery of him being injured. Could be coincidence but he has been getting dinged often. May be they are just being cautious.

You cant coach out of fear, if he is healthy then use him. No point in having a weapon sitting on the sidelines wasting away week in and week out. If he cant stay healthy then he isnt any good to them anyway.

Plus if they are that worried about his health, why use him on kick off returns?

they should play him so his body can adapt to the beating of an NFL runningback. giving him 6 carries a game will only make him fragile.

Exactly. Stop babying him.

Who is in for the first play of the first offensive series doesn't matter to me at all. As long as Felix gets plenty of touches tonight, then I'm fine with it. The rest is just semantics.

Choice will definitely need to get some carries... but Felix deserves a lot of carries too.

If they let Felix carry it 20 or so times, then the offense might never go back to the way it was (Barber the vast majority of the carries with Felix getting just a few). I think Felix's night might be just that big. Huge.

Yes sir. This is Felix Jones's coming out party. 15-20 carries would be awesome! He's going to have a huge night. I cannot wait!

Yeah, I'm banking on a huge night by Jones. I am down by 40 points in my fantasy league and I have Romo and either Deangelo Hall or Felix Jones I can start. I am going with Jones because I would rather root for the Cowboys player no matter what.

That being said, Jones does seem to get up slow or limping everytime he touches the ball. I really do think the coaches are worried about him getting hurt again. While with Choice, it seems like he is very solid and reminds me of Emmitt Smith in the fact that he just seems very durable.

That's like buying a nice car only to keep it in the garage without using it cause you're afraid of crashing.
No, that's like buying a new car and taking for a spin to the mall and come outside and someone banged their door into yours. Then you're driving down the road and get a flat. You go to work, come out to your new car at lunch and discover someone busted the window and stole your radar detector.

If we don't use him he's just a wasted roster spot, he might get hurt but it's football so that goes for every player, if he can't handle it he shouldn't be in the NFL

I was just wondering the same thing. If that is the case I am going to be very disappointed and irritated.

What is the deal? Why are they so afraid to use Felix Jones?

He's just so fragile... We don't want to break him again.:D

I was listening to ESPN in the background and they had Michelle Tafoya on and she was talking about how Jones was excited for the opportunity to start and had been looking forward to this chance since his collegiate days.

Maybe she didn't have the correct info, though.

I'd trust her over Sirius, actually...

We're two hours from kickoff, though. We should know soon, shouldn't we?

I could care less who starts.

However, Felix Jones needs 12-15 carries in the game.

Feeding Felix the rock around 20 times would work if you need to to it.

Give Choice 12-15, too.

I'd run it all over them.

Some people think Choice is the better all around back amongst the 3. I'm not complainin' if hes starting.
I think Barber is pretty special personally, he's a combination of power and quickness with good vision and great tackle breaking ability.

Not much break-away speed though.

Felix gets up slow after tackles, but it might be the thigh bruise that's slowing him down. Last season, the Giants wouldn't have caught him on that long run. Even at less than 100%, he's still a game breaker.

He is special. Some of the best hands for a RB too.

NFLN just announced Felix Jones was getting the start and wouldnt be on special teams tonight.

does that mean Ogletree is active to be the other kick returner??

They didnt say, they just said that Felix wasnt going to be performing his special teams duties.

Heard this on the 2 minute drill on Sirius. Is it true?

Choice and Felix will both share the load. Choice gets 100+ yards on the ground. Felix gets 100+ yards combined on the ground and in the air. Book it.

I agree - if Jones doesn't get at least 15 touches then Garrett is an idiot. Choice should get the rest.

Lets see what Felix can really do for this team... I pray we unleash him on the league starting tonight...
