I think its time to use Choice as a primary RB. The guy has the talent and can handle it. I would use felix as a Reggie Bush type and Barber to close.

I still don't see anything special about Choice. I watch other games around the league, and he looks like a garden-variety backup RB to me.

Except this one likes to bark at his Pro Bowl QB when things aren't perfect.

I think this is pure backup-quarterback syndrome.

I agree totally. He's the 3rd best back on the football team.

Another in agreement.
What is it that he posses that is superior than the other 2 backs?
He isnt stronger, faster, more agile, anything.

Choice is easily replaceable with a 3-4th round pick.

I dont see him having anything special about him that would allow him to start on a good team in this league.

Now with that said I think he would do a serviceable job if he was called into action. Just nothing special at this level.

I have never heard this idea before.

Thank you for starting a thread about it.

By about a country mile. There's Barber/Felix.................and somewhere way down the road of RB talent is Tashard Choice. Solid, unspectacular Tashard Choice.

Felix=speed back
MB=power back
Choice=mix of both.
If everyone watches the games it's not hard to see.
Not that anyone expects this coaching staff to know how to evaluate or know how to use any talent on this team.

Choice is frustrated. He won't even pitch the ball to Felix on the wildcat because he doesn't know when he'll get another chance to touch the ball.

Probably why it didn't work against the Bears. Choice behind Center, ignore other threats and tackle Choice.

honestly, it doesn't matter who the primary ball carrier is. Garrett DOES NOT RUN THE BALL! He's pass happy! Romo didn't have 51 passes on Sunday because the team was so far behind that we needed to.

It is time to make someone the primary ball carry. One of these guys needs 20 carries a game. I don't care who it is, but my preference is Jones.

Therefore we could and should be able to get value for one of the backs in a trade. Unfortunately their collective stock is eroding with Garrett at the controls.

True... A mix of Felix's power and Barber's speed.

Exactly right. What is so hard to figure out about this?

Barber is not a dominating player over the course of four quarters, but he can be dominant as a closer. Keep him fresh till the fourth quarter and let him do his thing.

Choice is the best all round running back on the team and he will be productive if he gets the opportunity. Allowing him to rest in the fourth quarter will keep him going over the long season, and hopefully playoffs. I will believe that till he shows otherwise.

Jones is a great change of pace guy who has superior speed and can create good match ups in the receiving game. dominate certain defenses all day long.

Choice to start is the logical first step. I mean hey, what is the worst that could happen... we have a sucky running game? :rolleyes:

No we needed to pass because Chicago has a good front seven and they were taking the run away by stacking not only the box but the LOS. The run wasn't there. In fact Romo should have checked out of some runs when they dared him to run the ball.

Learn some football before pontificating.
