Funnier than that is - without TO we didnt score any Touchdowns last year.

Want more Funny - Giants lost 2 of last 3 without Plaxico.

So TO is the last primadonna on this team? I guess Romo, RW11, Bradie, Greg Ellis, Crayton, and Hamlin have been held back TO. I have no questions about TO's heart but I do have questions about the people's heart that I listed. Getting rid of TO does not address the squad full of Tin Men that are still there.

No, TO is just the just the biggest, oldest and most proven prima donna on the team ... if not the entire NFL.

The problem isn't that he is a primadonna, that is the teamest smallest problem because getting rid of TO will not instill heart into the 50% of the roster that needs it. He is no different then Irvin.

I wouldn't want a guy like TO on my team.

I'd like to see him sent far away from Dallas.

Which automatically proves that we will lose without TO?

The Giants are a running team that occasionally has Eli throw up a prayer to Plax. They have no legitimate receiving threats behind Plax, unless you consider Boss and Toomer better than Witten and Williams.

Plus it was their defense that ultimately failed too in the Eagles game - they didn't get near McNabb all day after sacking their way to the SB last year. Is that Plax's fault too?

How convenient. You left out the beginning of my point.
I requoted myself for you.

Giants are a running team - that made Plaxico effective.
Cowboys can run and become more effective with TO.

Take Plax or TO out and teams focus on running game because there isnt a BIG TIME threat running downfield.

Come on you know that.

This is a funny question.
The two options are silly and show a limitation in football knowledge.
Two simple points to ponder:
1. Rebuilding isn't a modern NFL term. Did Atlanta rebuild this year?
2. Losing one player wouldn't define 'rebuilding' when the term applied, in the 70s.

So the season is over if TO goes down the first game? Then we're idiots if we are banking it all on a 35 yr WR in the first place.

There is more than one way to win football games, and if we can't have a competent offense with Romo, Witten, Williams, Felix, Barber, Bennett, Choice, Crayton and Austin and an Offensive Line getting paid more money than a third world country's GDP than Garrett deserves every ounce of criticism he gets.

6 of our other 10 starters have been to Pro Bowls. Witten is considered the 2nd best receiving TE in the game. There is no lack of talent here, just a lock of an ability to think of a game plan that doesn't revolve around the guy shouting the loudest for the ball.

Yeah, the team is in rebuilding mode because Terrell Owens is gone.

Like Ware, Witten, MBIII, Romo, Newman, James, Ratliff, Gurode, Roy, Felix, Scandrick, Hamlin are all chumps.

Just stop it already.

Reality: They would undoubtedly be in rebuilding mode.

There you go with the smilie emphasis cracking yourself up again.

It is obviously not an indepth football question and it is worded that way.
It purely a personal choice question. The hate for TO runs deep. I just wanted honest replies based on the two options. Sorry you couldnt see that or maybe you did and just wanted to poopoo the thread.

Either way. Everything is beautiful.

Age has nothing to do with it. He is signed. He is a Cowboy. He is expected to be a major contributor. You are being too common when you post generic stuff like "we are banking on 35 year old...well oh whoah whoah"

AGe has everything to do with it.

If we absolutely positively have to have a BIG TIME receiver running down field to win, why are you depending on a 35 year old?

They get hurt more. Period. They slow down. They have more trouble getting off jams. There isn't a receiver in history who didn't start hitting the wall at this age ( in fact the vast majority long before it), including Jerry Rice and Tim Brown who were MUCH better fundamental and technical receivers than TO.

Again, create a gameplan around the short and intermediate routes that favor Witten and Williams. Get Felix in the slot, create space for him. Run the legs off Barber and Choice and use play action.

You don't need a megastar WR to win in the this league. 3 of the 4 teams left this year don't have one (although Jackson on the Eagles may get there down the road).

i say win without him. i can not stand the guy. i do not care what happens in future just as long as he is not a cowboy. i truely believe he will be here next year unforunately but after that i think he will be gone for sure in 2010.
