Choose One of Each

Patmon - I like Mitchells bravado, but every.time I look up he's getting beat or.drawing a.flag.
W. Smith - I've seen Lawrence, I want to see if there's more in smith
Byrd - nothing against Newsome, but Byrd has experience and can step in if Dez or Williams go down as a nice big target.
Williams - Still haven't figured out why he hasn't been discuss as a threat to Dunbars role. DUNBAR is fragile and imagine Williams on those screens. He makes plays and people miss, not to mention he can replace either Murray or Dunbar due to injury without having to alter.the playbook.
Parnell- Parnell has experienced with the core linemen. Wetzel maybe in a couple of years.
Watson - just not a fan of clutts
NWA - too much experience. Patrick in a couple of years.
Coleman & bishop - Coleman is a steal. Watched him last game with the 1st and he was always in the backfield. Bishop because his name isn't Hayden. I've seen this Hayden movie before and it's ugly.

I feel like the team is looking for a reason to cut Ryan Williams.

Wetzel and Patrick would make a pretty nice combo on the practice squad.

Mitchell vs. Patmon

Patmon ..........Kids got some fight in him. Reminds me of Scandrick when he was a rookie, Better instincts than Mitchell

C. Lawrence vs. W. Smith

C. Lawrence.....better special teams player

Byrd vs. Newsome

Newsome............. Tough choice........Can't go wrong w/ either guy. Newsome better special teams.... Byrd higher upside.

R. Williams vs. J. Randle

R. Williams.....And it's not even close for me. I think Williams should get more carries than Murray.

Wetzel vs. Parnell

Parnell.....gonna have to stick w/ Parnell because they didn't give Wetzel any reps @ left tackle. So who knows what you got there?

A. Watson vs. Clutts

Clutts.......gotta have a FB

U. Nwaneri vs. Patrick

U. Nwaneri.....has looked pretty solid

Hayden vs. Coleman vs. Bishop (choose two)

None of them......Seriously think you could pick 3 guys off waivers with better results

Mitchell vs. Patmon
Interesting. Mitchell seems to have some ability locating the ball and tends to be in the right place at the right time however I don't know if he will get over the grabby grabby penalties.
Patmon...for some reason seems like a kid that might do really well in a zone scheme if they ever switch.

C. Lawrence vs. W. Smith
You would like to see what the rook has however Lawrence might make it over the rook due to his special teams play...and let's face it, from the preseason so far we could use all the help we can get on ST instead of taking away a good ST player.

Byrd vs. Newsome
Either or.

R. Williams vs. J. Randle
Although I think Williams has more skill I will say I would probably wind up going with Randle ONLY because Williams has an extensive injury history and we already have that with Murray and Dunbar.

Wetzel vs. Parnell
Wetzel. Parnell has had his years to prove what he needed to prove so if it is an even keel type of situation between the two, give the young guy the edge to see if he can be better.

A. Watson vs. Clutts
I don't really care unless one of the two are really good on Special teams. I doubt we would use either that much as a FB or blocking TE and they both take up another roster spot that would mean getting rid of better players in other areas.

U. Nwaneri vs. Patrick
Honestly have not seen enough or read enough to give a legit opinion on it so I go with the guy with the most EXP and that is Nwaneri.

Hayden vs. Coleman vs. Bishop (choose two)

Keep Coleman and Bishop as I think both have more upside.

Mitchell vs Patmon - Patmon. This is a tough one, because I think both will end up being good players (and both may be better than Webb). But short-term, Patmon looks better.

Lawrence vs Smith - Smith

Byrd vs Newsome - Byrd

Williams vs Randle - Williams, although keeping both would be lovely

Wetzel vs Parnell - Parnell, because he can play LT and RT

Watson vs Clutts - Watson

Nwaneri vs Patrick - Nwaneri

Hayden vs Coleman vs Bishop - Coleman/Bishop

I feel like the team is looking for a reason to cut Ryan Williams.

Williams has shown more than both Dunbar and Randle for that matter this preseason. There are varying reasons why he's played more.than Dunbar, but he's made the most of every opportunity. I've been especially surprised with his pass catching ability. Not the best at blitz pick up but neither are Dunbar and Randle. We justified keeping Tanner all.of those seasons and Williams is a far superior talent. Cutting him would be another case of roster mismanagement. You're exactly right with Wetzel and Patrick. Would love to see them after a year in the playbook and weight room.

Green eggs and ham.

Ok, for real:

Mitchell vs. Patmon (I did not include Webb b/c from what I read on the DMN today, it sounds like he's expected to make the team)

C. Lawrence vs. W. Smith

Byrd vs. Newsome

R. Williams vs. J. Randle

Wetzel vs. Parnell

A. Watson vs. Clutts

U. Nwaneri vs. Patrick

Hayden vs. Coleman vs. Bishop (choose two)

interesting thread idea:

Patmon --would hope to get Mitchell to PS.
W. Smith --Think Smith can help on ST now and grow into a solid LB. More potential than Cam.
Newsome-- Has shown better hands and playmaking.
R. Williams-- better player.
Parnell-- better player. has trade value.
Clutts
U. Nwaneri
Hayden, Bishop --Coleman hopefully through to PS.

I know some of these guys play different positions/roles but if you had to choose your final roster from these matchups, who you got?

Patmon
C. Lawrence (better STer)
Newsome (ready to play)
R. Williams (better talent)
Wetzel (shows promise)
Clutts
Patrick (looks like he is at least as good as Nwameri and is younger)
Coleman and Bishop (only if McClain is ready to start)

Mitchell vs. Patmon

Tyler Patmon. He has made plays on the ball, and seems to have the nose for it. Mitchell I have seen far too many times in chase mode this preseason. Practice squad for him.

C. Lawrence vs. W. Smith

Will Smith. Yes, he has been a bit gimpy, but he has far more upside than Cam Lawrence, especially in coverage. I think he can be every bit the special teamer that Lawrence is as well.

Byrd vs. Newsome

Jamar Newsome. I think he's quicker out of his breaks, and his hands are more sure than Byrd's. Byrd's size is intriguing, but he drops too many passes.

R. Williams vs. J. Randle

Ryan Williams. He has the potential to be special. Randle is a try hard guy who lacks special traits, and goes down too frequently on first contact.

Wetzel vs. Parnell

John Wetzel. Parnell has had his opportunities to develop and step up, and he hasn't. Wetzel needs some strength work, but he has shown some ability in pass protection.

A. Watson vs. Clutts

If I could vote neither anyplace, it would be here. For the purposes of this, I'll take Asa Watson, for no reasons other than bloodlines and that Murray doesn't seem to run as well behind a fullback.

U. Nwaneri vs. Patrick

Uche Nwaneri. He's a proven player in the league, and a very solid backup who can start in a pinch. Patrick has been OK as a backup center, but his shotgun snaps need a lot of improvement.

Hayden vs. Coleman vs. Bishop (choose two)

Coleman and Bishop. Not sure this needs an explanation, but the devil we don't know is far more pleasing than the devil we do. Both need to work on their anchor against the run, and Bishop needs to work on pass rush moves.

I was only 7 when that show ended, but I always thought the blonde was hot.

Lori Saunders is the brunette on the left, Linda Henning in the middle, and I believe that is Jeannine Riley on the right. Riley played Jolene in Electra Glide in Blue. The lady on the right might be Meredith MacRae who played Billie Jo. Not sure. I was a bit busy when that was on TV but I remember a bit.
