Landry was an oversized defensive back in his day. 6-2, 200 pounds.

And he had the reputation as a headhunter.

Even when he was in his 60s and still coaching, the guy was rock solid.

I doubt Berman would have made a comment like that about Bill Walsh. But then we all know what Berman is about.

Lighten up boys. He just meant he made him look like an old man.

Geez. If it were any other coach, you'da thought it was funny.

:laugh2:

Maybe he should have said that he made LaRon look like Chris Berman.

Speaking of old, I saw Tom Brokaw the other day. Wow is he getting old!

It was disrespectful for the simple fact that Tom Landry a hall of fame coach and super bowl winner is deceased and no longer able to say or defend himself.

There was and is no defense for what Berman said. If coach Landry was alive then it would be different.

Totally disrespectful, but not surprising. Berman sounded like he was at a wake as he did the highlights of our win.

Demand an apology.

nice! Someone should write a letter (a better writer than myself) so we can cut and paste it and send it in! It should at least be brought to attention.

I sent an email. Everyone should send one (written well or not), just so they can acknowledge people did not appreciate the comment.

What? I thought him singing "Felix the Cat! The wonderful wonderful cat" was awesome.

I really don't think Berman was made the comment because Mr. Landry has passed away. Berman may be a goofball, but he has way more class than that. He just made a joke, without realizing that some people would be sensitive to it. I think we've all done that at one point in our lives.
