So much for Chris Canty's homecoming as a New York Giant.
A calf injury suffered Wednesday has him out of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. He had been slowed for most of the preseason with a hamstring injury and now he has to watch his first game against his former team.
It has to kill him. Now he has to wait for the Dec. 6 rematch at Giants Stadium to work against the Cowboys for real.
But don't fret for thre Giants' defensive line. It's still going to be a huge factor in thsi game.
In other New York injury notes, safety Kenny Phillips and cornerback Kevin Dockery did not practice Friday.
