Chris Collinsworth

I've always liked Collinsworth, particularly because he has no sacred cows and he doesn't just mindlessly parrot conventional wisdom or talking points. He's maybe the only color guy out there who will rip DeMarcus Ware.

I agree. I never understood some of the hatred he gets. I like him.

Again, this.

Chris does an excellent job on the Sunday night broadcast.

If Wade gets fired today we should all send collinsworth a thank you card. His work was splendid last. He was almost begging Jerry to fire Wade. Collinsworth called out everybody and everything. Great job chris.

Absolutely splendid.

And you should have heard Trent Dilfer last night. He was excellent as well.

Agreed. To each his own I suppose but I don't get why he inspires such loathing from some fans. He is very, very good.

I generally like Collinsworth, but he was wrong when he was touting Dom Capers as someone a team should hire to be their head coach.

He's had two chances and sucked both times. When are people going to realize that some guys are made to be coordinators and some are made to be head coaches?

What's funny -- or sad -- is the guy on the other sidelines fits into the same category, or at least did four years ago when he was San Diego's defensive coordinator.

You mean kinda like Wade.

It's funny how Collinsworth turns from obnoxious idiot into a knowledgeable guy with insight and a willingness to speak the truth when he says something that a person agrees with.

Collinsworth is hardly a defensive expert, but it's hard not to agree with his analysis of this play. Very curious defensive alignment.

I'd like to send a personal thanks to Collinsworth.

Without him completely embarrassing the team even more than they embarrassed themselves, I think Jerry rides Wade out another week.

:hammer:

Jerry heard all of what Collinsworth had to say. He had to sit there and listen to it. And watch. He couldn't escape. And he was implicated too. On national television.

Collinsworth's absolute shredding of the Cowboys on national TV is going to force Jerry's hand. It has to...

I have never been a fan of Chris Collinsworth, but when you take the rose colored glasses off, the guy makes sense. As painful as it was to hear, he was dead on last night an alot of points. His comments on quitting, embarrassment, poor coaching, poor scheming, laziness, basically everything that is the 2010 Cowboys, was accurate.

I wonder of JJ had the TV sound on in his suite last night?

I love Collinsworth, personally.

This is weird... We used to have post after post of how much people hated him.

I was watching the game out last night and couldn't hear the sound, but I've always liked him and never understood the hate he got.

I think he's pretty good. Pretty much calls it like he sees it.

He comes up with very quick, insightful play anaylsis as well. I like the way he breaks things down. Usually seems right on...

Worst hairline in America, but he doesn't make me cringe.

You again! LOL

Chris was spot on last night, with no sugar coating on how poor we are as team. Vets, coaches included.
After last night, Jerry has no option to save the little face he has left but to end this nightmare.

Both Al and Chris did a great job last night.

I hope Jerry had his volume turned up in the box because the Dallas Cowboys are the laughing stock of the entire league right now.

yeah they are a good match I think. Collinsworth with his monotone delivery was pretty awful at first but he's gotten a lot better over the last year and a half I think. It's not enough to break things down, you have to do it with at least a little bit of excitement or energy or whatever.

I heard that too. He is absolutely right. But he also said that this is a coaching problem and that it can be fixed with proper coaching to the right technique.

D Ware I don't think hardly went on a bad angles like that before. He used to always get their with his bull rush or speed. Now also he just doesn't care as well.

WE are really the worst coached team in the league. Our talent is there but the fundementals aren't.

Its time to clean house completely. Get rid of all those coaches that played was with Dallas in the 90s before......like Garrett, Houck, and Campo, along with Wade. I believe they have something to do with this debucle.

I am the opposite side of the ledger with CC, I think he's the best color guy in the business....he diagnoses plays on the field quickly and intelligently....where I agree 100% is that he was dead on point yesterday. He seemed almost angry at what was happening.
:hammer:Chris is so refreshing as an announcer. And he is angry about it. He knows the importance of a competitive Cowboys team to the NFL, and ultimately his job.

He was one of the first former players who would offer a critical analysis of teams and players, which is why he last so long in the business. The job of an NFL analyst, especially a former player/coach, is to offer legitimate criticism of a team or a player. In the buddy-buddy world of NFL football, that's hard to do. Collins broke the mold when he got into the television booth.

He's always been rather candid and insightful. He was on fire last night.
