Chris Mortensen’s Dak Contract Update

I guess just more confirmation that it’s not the annual value but the years; thought I’d share. Mort also indicated that they’ll probably have it done shortly after the draft so looks like he’ll miss a few of these voluntary virtual offseason days.

I'm always pro player when it comes to these things. But, I get where the team is coming from Stash. It can get super expensive having to re-up the QB position every two or three years.

I'm always pro player when it comes to these things. But, I get where the team is coming from Stash. It can get super expensive having to re-up the QB position every two or three years.

Dak does not want to wait to renegotiate his next deal.

He has not even performed up to the needed standard. Who knows if Dak will still be wanted in 2015?

This guy comes from an overinflated vision of himself. NFL history is full of Daks.

Sometimes the best thing to do is just say "No".

History is full of turning points where one side or the other refuses to budge anymore.

When the Greeks at Thermopoli told the Persians they were not crossing the mountains to conquer Greece. They said no and built a wall with the Persian dead.

Saying no can change things in a hurry.

The cost of the position will be reset by Mahomes and likely Russell Wilson by then, so Dallas will have to top those numbers and likely add three years as an extension. So by the end of the 2024 season, the same dance will begin again.

The mistake was they stupidly waited to offer him a deal. It should have happened the second the 2018 season ended before LA and Philly extended Goff and Wentz. Remove their deals of 110 in guaranteed money on 4 year extensions and this would not have happened.

I disagree. From all account, They have give Dai everything he has asked for. It wouldn’t hurt him to give a little too. He wouldn’t be in this position in the first place if it wasn’t for Jerry.
