I respect where you're coming from but none of these franchises are suffering in the least so paying their partners well (and yes the players are their partners due to collective bargaining) is ok with me.
The hard cap of the NFL needs to go IMO or they need to copy the structure of the NBA where there are exceptions to the hard cap which allows teams to keep their star players (Bird Rule). The NFL owners are greedy though so doubt it ever occurs.
I just want a better roster. And if these self entitled, overpaid babies like Dak get 40 million instead of 35 million then my team suffers.
I have no sympathy whatever for these players. Part time job, play 17 games a year and collect more money in one year then most will ever make in a lifetime of success.
Owners have at least worked their butts off and taken risks. Or someone in their family has. The owners are the NFL, not the players. Players come and go. Its the Dallas Cowboys that people truly love, not Dak Prescott or Zeke Elliott.
The biggest mistake all these big sports leagues made was when they started promoting the athlete instead of the team. Its gotten so far out of hand these days that its truly gone to their heads. Look at what is happening in the NBA. The top players like Lebron and Leonard go around deciding who goes where and who wins titles. Owners, teams, coaches have little to no control anymore.
Players disrespect owners, coaches, each other and get away with it. Lebron can ruin a franchise and make a franchise.
Kawai wants Paul George on his team, they both force the Pacers to trade for him. George tells the Pacers to trade him or he wont resign and they will get nothing. Its madness. And the rest of the teams and fans just have to sit back and watch and know that your team isnt winning diddly. You have to hope one of these big self entitled superstars picks your team. Pathetic.
