Except when they had equipment failure with him last night for an hour, he had no idea what was going on around him and just sat there. They should have taken him off the panel while they worked on it as he looked totally disinterested, he looked like a guy waiting for his wife to come out of the bathroom.

It wasn't an hour. It was just a few picks. But thats not his fault. He couldn't hear anything his co-panelists were saying. It happened to Kiper too when they first went on air. Both of them were fun to listen to.

ESPN does a good job reporting with highlites until they begin presenting analysis and narrating opinions.

I didn't like when they cut to Mort. He was a drag on the telecast.

I missed it.

I saw Mort a few weeks ago. He didn’t look good but again if he’s determined to do this in his final days then I admire ESPN for allowing.

Maybe they're doing him a solid and letting him get involved. He may prefer to do that than stay home and fixate on the fact he's ill.

They run a lot of people out there that don't add much because those people are a different demographic, so Mort doesn't bother me. The NFL and the public made a big deal over bringing in a guy who's missing a hand, but its a problem to bring back a guy who was Adam Schefter before Adam himself?

Even in the condition he's in, I'd still prefer him to Chris Berman.

Given what's going on now up on stage before the picks are made, the whole thing is starting to resemble a clown show to me.

Deion likes him some Deion a little too much for my taste. HE IS A PHONY. Mort has to hang em up..he looks real rough. Cancer sucks. My dad passed from it..along with COPD. Espn ought to be ashamed trotting this poor man out there.

I wish they'd stop this. It reminds me when they tried bring back Dick Clark to do New Year's Eve and all it did was embarrass him. It is obvious that Mort is struggling and you can see it on Scheffter's face. I know they love him and have a great deal of respect for him but it is painful to watch a man that can no longer do what he used to do and is aware of it. You can see it in his eyes.

I've watched him for many years and would rather remember him when he could do his job with pride. I can see the embarrassment and struggle on his face and it is painful to watch.

He was out doing a spot before the broadcast on the Draft on Thursday. He did not look good.
He was on the top entry area to section 245 with the stage as a back drop.
