This just shows me this game is won and lost by inches. Same with Dak stepping out before extending. It sucks because the game is completely different if either of those plays go the other way.

The entire act of catching a pass includes possession, two feet inbounds, and surviving the ground. That should have been a touchdown. The ball broke the plane as he was in the process of completing his catch. But due to poorly written and enforced rules the NFL still struggles trying to define what a catch is to this day.

Simms makes an interesting point but this has always been the case with any line of gain, not just the endzone. Otherwise, when going to the ground, just bobble the ball as you slide across the field and then you're only down where you establish possession, not where you were when the defender touched you and you were down on the ground. Wonder what his fix would be.

At this point, it’s a lost cause. We should be happy that

A.) we competed. It wasn’t a washout like that horrid 49ers game was.

B.) the NFL is so up and down, I’m not even upset. We have a chance because while we’re not great, no one else besides the Eagles and maybe the 49ers when completely healthy are.

I didn’t get to watch the game as Southwest gifted us with the Raiders vs Giants game as we flew back to Dallas, but after seeing that Gilmore call and the spot call… I’m glad I didn’t get to see it live. Officiating can’t be allowed to be this atrocious, for either team.

How about throwing the ball INTO the endzone. How about making a play with no doubt attached to it? Why don't we try that for once.

Just one of many weird plays that didn't go our way. Never never seen this type of call reversed.

Chris Simms makes a valid argument. I said it in another thread. It's not a ruled catch until you prove the ball is secured as you come to the ground and maintain security on the ball. According to that rule, by the time Schoonmaker fully completed the catch as he was hitting the ground, the ball was on the goal line, thus should have been ruled a TD.

Plus, where was the flag for pass interference on the defender for tackling Schoonmaker before the pass got to him?

And by the way if Dak had looked at the other side Cooks was open in the middle.....SMakers catch was harder because Ferguson didnt run his pick correctly..
