It’s incredible that the cowboys continue to get victimized by loopholes and misinterpreted rules in key moments of pivotal games.

Maybe Jerry did make a deal with the devil in the 90s…

Simms has a solid point. IF he was a runner and that happened, sure, short of the GL. But if it isn't a completion unless he survives the ground, then he cannot be considered to have possession. It should have been treated as if he initially bobbled it.

Chris Simms makes a valid argument. I said it in another thread. It's not a ruled catch until you prove the ball is secured as you come to the ground and maintain security on the ball. According to that rule, by the time Schoonmaker fully completed the catch as he was hitting the ground, the ball was on the goal line, thus should have been ruled a TD.

Plus, where was the flag for pass interference on the defender for tackling Schoonmaker before the pass got to him?
Was ruled a TD. But reversed..

It was the right call, unfortunate as it is.

Schoonmaker needs to watch some Jason Witten highlights and learn how to box out smaller defenders.

The entire act of catching a pass includes possession, two feet inbounds, and surviving the ground. That should have been a touchdown. The ball broke the plane as he was in the process of completing his catch. But due to poorly written and enforced rules the NFL still struggles trying to define what a catch is to this day.
The ball wasn’t past the goal line when he caught it and he was down as soon as he caught it. It wasn’t a TD but it sure was PI since he tackled him before he caught the ball

I didn’t get to watch the game as Southwest gifted us with the Raiders vs Giants game as we flew back to Dallas, but after seeing that Gilmore call and the spot call… I’m glad I didn’t get to see it live. Officiating can’t be allowed to be this atrocious, for either team.
Southwest gets its TV feed from NY locals. They didn’t really get to choose which game to show you.

As a Vegas local, I too had to get creative to watch the game

Cooks was wide open with nobody within 234 yards of him...Dak hits him, this isn't even a discussion

Just one of many weird plays that didn't go our way. Never never seen this type of call reversed.

I was saying this (out loud and, yes, to myself I my living room) as they were reviewing the play. They wouldn't have called it catch if it'd come out when he hit the ground OUTSIDE the end zone, so why is it a catch (and him being down before breaking the plane just because of his knee? What are the criteria for completing a catch?

That said, I'm sick and tired of the Cowboys so often having their receivers run routes 2 yards short of theend zone or something like a 4-and-out on 3rd and 5.

That!s never getting called DPI, too close. Happens in almost every game.

Ferguson ran a bad route. If he comes flatter Blankenship has to go around and not underneath and it’s an easy TD.

It was poor execution but go ahead and blame the refs.

yeah, dak had 11 guys rushing him on every play. I can't believe he made it through the game.

The flag they picked up was also pretty wild.

And you can’t be down until you’ve gained possession so if it had not been near the end zone, it would’ve been spotted where he came down with the ball so stupid because even a five-year-old kid could plainly see that
