Where would he have been projected to go if he hadn't gotten hurt?

I think around 3rd-4th Rd. Teams knew he was out all year and it caused him to fall way down to udfa. If healthy he would probably have been similarly projected like Xavier Cooper or Michael Bennett. I think he would have been no later than the 5th at latest.

like I said Whaley is from my hometown and I love the guy but he in no way was anywhere near as good as Malcom Brown in college

I don't think he has to be as good as Malcolm Brown. I think we are just asking him to be a capable, dependable and productive player.

I wouldn't say hes the reason we passed on Brown. Hes the reason why we passed on Xavier Cooper, Michael Bennett, and Gabe Wright. They didn't choose Brown because they just like Jones better as he filled a much bigger need.

I wanted Xavier Cooper. Was my pet cat pick. Hoping Whaley tears it up in camp... and I have a feeeling he will. PUROS COWBOYS!!!! So excited.
