Christmas music

recorded in may of '71.
it was the standout track on his 2nd christmas LP the wonderful world of christmas.
i love the undubbed master.
this is how it should've been heard.
a real hi-light and revelation on the new 4cd box set released last month...back in nashville.

the hallmark of Elvis' 2nd christmas album were the newer,non-traditional songs.
the other side of yultide.
this song was one of the best.
during one of the later sessions...he tried it at a faster tempo.
it was shelved for the earlier version.
both with a blues feel.
this undubbed master of the remake showcases how vocally,he was right at home with the blues.

RIP Sinead O'Connor

Silent Night.. the oldest and most universal Christmas carol.

Timeless and shared by so many around the world. I watched that documentary last year and it was great.
