Growing up, we had a fake one. Partially because my Mom worked so much. Me and my brother would always surprise my Mom when she came home at night. It was always after Thanksgiving.

Now that we're older, my Mom or brother buys a real tree and have his kids trim it. It's always cute.

Are you saving a spot for me under the Mistletoe?

I have a funny xmas tree story.

There was a guy who was a gym teacher at the high school my friend went to who lived on our street.

During the summer my friends and I were always riding our bikes around. The gym teacher was having a garage sale and apparently someone stole a pair of ski's and some other stuff. He assumed it was us because we had ridden past his house numerous times. He came after us and accused us of all this stuff.....it was a big ordeal to which he almost made us look guilty for something we knew nothing about.

anyway, so that winter we decided to get back at him. Occasionally on saturday's my friends and I would walk up to friendly's around the corner from our house and go eat. We had to walk past this guy's house.

So one night during our xmas vacation from school, on our way home, we saw everyone throwing out there xmas trees. The light bulb went off. We took about 8 trees....big trees and put them on his porch so that he couldnt open his door. It was ridiculous how packed they were on his porch. I have no idea how they didnt hear us.

So after we had them on there, a couple of us went across the street and hid behind the bushes and trees and one of my other friends stood on the ledge of the porch and rang his doorbell a couple of times. It was about 10 or so at night.

So as we hid behind the bushes across the street, we watched him try and open the door and could not. It was hillarious. He had to go out his backdoor and walk around to the front....he was all mad and yelling. It was great.

and that is my tree story. Nights like that were the best.

So in other words you were a hooligan growing up. :laugh2:

Me too. :laugh2:

No, not a hooligan. A practical joker. This stuff was pretty much a daily occurrence till I was about 17 or so.

But this instance was payback!!!!!

Will you at least come Wassailing with me? Or perhaps join me for a cup of hot cocoa while Spandau Ballet's "True" plays softly in the background?

Maybe she'd be more interested, if your Yule Log wasn't so twiglike??

Wow......putting it out there.

As far as trees go. I think anything before December is too damn early.

We buy our Christmas tree on the Firday after Thanksgiving. I get it all set up and ready to decorate. The rest of the weekend us spent decorating the house and casually watching football.

Growing up? Yell at my big brother.

I don't have a tree at my house...and by the time I get to my Mom's, my brother and the kids have decorated his. The funny thing is I know my brother spends his time yelling at his kids.

I spend lots of time saying things like

Get away from there!
Don't touch that!
Put that down!
Not for kitty!
Not for Brianna!
