The only people, who I believe the Board of Selectors give any serious consideration, are those who get through the early rounds of discussion and end up as a yearly finalist. A player, coach or contributor can be a yearly finalist and not make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame though.

Out of those four, Lee Roy Jordan is the only one to push through to the final step before enshrinement. And Jordan's name managed to reach that next-to-last hurdle only ONE time in 1988.

I think Niland has been overlooked. Even worse than Howley.

Jerry should be whipped naked around AT and T for not having him in the ROH.

Can't just pin it all on Jerry. Niland retired after the 1975 season, and Jerry didn't buy the Cowboys until 1989

Sadly I think Jordan was underappreciated outside of Cowboy fans because he played in the same era as Butkus, Buoniconti, Hanburger, Nitschke, Lanier ...

Jordan was definitely a HOF level MLB, but those guys got the attention at the MLB position
