I bought a Ghurka Cellar Reserve cigar and I'm confused about something pretty basic. There's a pigtail and a nub. I always thought you smoke if from the nub. I'm reading you smoke it from the pigtail. You can't smoke it from both ends.....this is where you come in....

Thanks!

I wish I could help, but i only have experience with Cigarillos. :D

Trick is w/ pig tail ends is not over cutting. You only need to clip the pigtail just a smidge up from where it joins the cigar leaving a small draw hole where the smoke can get through.

Don't over cut as the leaf will completely unwind.

Good luck.

BTW: If you want a superb daily cigar. You might try the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Belicoso. One of the best all around consistent smoking cigars I have ever had. About $9-10/.

And you draw from the pigtail end even if it has a nub on the other end correct?

That will be the next cigar I buy!

That cigar looks like you are cutting both ends. You clip the pigtail away and smoke from that end w/ the other end also getting a cut but normal larger cut-away is being applied which is your lighting end.

There probably isn't a hole already in the nub right? It doesnt look that way from the images I am seeing. I have never had a cigar like this. If both ends are closed, then this is how it should be smoked.

The nub end actually has a hole. You can see the tobacco. At first I thought there was paper covering it but there's not. Ill probably just call tomorrow and ask.

Ok then you clip the pig-tail lighting that end and smoke from the nub side.

Enjoy your smoke. :D

Isn't it pretty much the rule-of-thumb that you smoke from the end where the band is?

I'm no expert. That would make the most sense though

If there's a pigtail and a nub, you just light it in the middle and then smoke from either end. Pretty sure that's right.
