Leon Lett was a high level player.

This dude is a practice squad level player. Not quite the same thing.
Who just got inserted onto ST, right? And the difference, we ain't in no contention for anything, right now. And if accountability was a thing, ST coach would have been fired after Atlanta game, and Big Mike would be calling games on the radio, in the booth simply due to poor play calling and inability to get his team motivated, by now. GB game ring a bell.

Cowboys are one of those rare teams that can turn a blocked punt into a negative play. Bunch of dopes.
Agreed.

Imagine explaining to somebody who didn’t watch the game.

Dallas blocks the bengals punt with under 3 minutes to go and the ball lands deep in Bengals territory. They lose

McCarthy went pass crazy when he should have ran the ball and a FG. He lost the game for Cowboys more than any other of the mistakes.

We literal lost because of one play... he doesn't make the bone head play we have the ball with the best kicker in football...
The defense only gave up 20 pts until the bonehead play... that's not getting torched.
Did you not see the last touchdown by Chase? Chase may be the best receiver in the league. No shame in getting torched by him….but to back and watch the piss poor coverage on that play and specifically watch Bland.

Moron?.......I hope that's not what's going on in the lockerroom. If so, tells us all we need to know. We've had many players make mistakes......no one on this team is exempt.....though the board thinks so.
Yes, moron. How else would you describe a player who doesn't know the rule that most fans know?

That's what's done on this board. I just hope it's not the locker room. BTW, there's a thread that questioned the rule. Hope you have a nice day.
I hope the name callers reflect on their own mistakes and lift the guy up, if not........tells me we ain't a team and have a miserable fan base to match. We've already seen mental checkouts on the field, we've seen the podcasters and we've seen divide.......not a team to me.......if "moron" is the language. You reap exactly what you reflect.

Okay, let me rephrase: A player who made a moronic decision. I don't know him, so maybe he's a moron, or maybe he just had a huge brain fart at the worst possible time. Maybe he knew the rule, but wanted to be a hero, or maybe he didn't know the rule, and he needs to study the rulebook before he ever sets foot on the field again.

BTW, if you're going to imply that someone is a moron, you probably shouldn't do so with a mixed metaphor.

The only reason it was even as close as it was was the refs doing anything and everything to get us the W.

I couldn't care less about the Bengals....but poor Joe Burrow almost had has freaking head pulled off his body...no flag. They gave Dallas every opportunity with the calls

(Que the "but Micah shoulda had 74 holds called" morons

Runwildboys.....I'm not implying someone is a moron, that was YOU. But all good. As I've said before, regarding teammates, in any walk of life.....adversity builds character, but it reveals it too. I'm hoping the locker room lifted the young man up, not kick him while down already.....and I'm sure we have those guys in the locker room. The Board......now that's a different jungle....we eat our young like in the Serengeti.

I can understand how a player, especially someone with little experience could get confused in the moment. Having said that, a strong organization would cut said player to send a message to the rest of the team.

Is it fair? Is it compassionate? Probably not & no, but there are only so many tools available to make professional athletes understand consequences. This team has shown too little discipline & understanding of the game for years. Staff need to show less understanding & more ruthlessness in expecting professional level play.

I'm sure the locker room (at least the players) were consoling him, for the most part. But he's never going to see what's being said here, so being honest about it is just fine.

I don't want him kicked off the team, or anything drastic, like some people are saying. But I do want to know why he touched the ball. Was it a selfish moment of attempted heroism? Did he just get overexcited when the ball came his way? Did he actually not know the rule?

If it's the third one, these coaches need to sit everyone down and drill the whole rulebook into their heads...which might be a good idea regardless, considering all the mistakes they make on a weekly basis.

If it's the second reason, hopefully experience will alleviate that tendency.

If it's the first one, maybe he's not a team player himself. I do doubt that he was trying to make a name for himself, but you never know.
