CJ Allen

There are about 2 dozen mocks with him gone by 20. I don't think its as wild as you might.
Has dallas even met with theineman yet? Seems it's more fan interest than Dallas being interested

I’m not saying it should mean nothing…but I genuinely believe that if Allen wore a different helmet than Georgia’s he would be ranked in the 35-50 range. The allure of being a Georgia LB is pushing him up draft boards, despite the tape and measurables/athletic ability not quite matching up.

I would for sure take Rodriguez over Allen and I think there’s a valid argument for Trotter and Golday being similar, if not better, prospects. Hill is riskier than Allen, but has a much higher upside

Could not agree more.

I don't really see much difference in Trotter and Allen.

Golday is intriguing but he night have the same instincts.

it is not hatred to point out what a reach he is at 12. I honestly would be ok with him at 20 BUT NOT AT 12
This draft sucks bro. Every player is gonna be a reach if it was a normal draft. EZ would have been a top 20 pick in this draft. Guyton might have been a top 15 pick in this draft. The top pick is considered on JJ McCarthy’s level as a quarterback.

I think you have to pick which one you want
at 12 in a wipe out scenario...both are likely to be gone at 20.

I can get on board with Faulk at 12 if we are wiped out and cant trade down.
This board and Cowboys social media would explode if Faulk is the pick at 12.

I would see a formidable front 4 that would be tough to run on.

Have to take the hand you are dealt...on a positive Faulk would give us one of the nastiest and most physical front 4s we have seen in the last decade? Our front 4 alone would create problems for the run and should help whoever the heck is playing LBr.

I could care less about 20
he is not worth 12
I don't have a strong opinion on his value. I just know where hes going in mocks, which could be completely irrelevant or spot on.

Im at the point now id probably rather take a DT at 12 if the board is wiped and we cant move. Then I can get my CB or LB at 20. I do like Theineman though.

Yeah I am with you on the draft. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be able to draft two walk in starters one in the front seven and one in the secondary in this draft. Will they be superstars? Probably not but solid pros that can have their 5th year options picked up is good enough for me. I see defensive versions of Tyler Booker who most on the board hated.

Cowboys just hired one of his coaches. They may be in love with Allen and ignore any red flags.....

There is just no way that the Cowboys are going to use both 1st round picks at their original position.

They may still end up with two 1st round picks but they are going to trade down. they need a 2nd round pick.

Does anyone seriously believe that Jerry Jones is going to wait 59 picks before he gets his turn on day #2?

So as far As Allen is concerned as well as the concern about his current medical issues, he may still end up as the Cowboys traditional 2nd round blunder.

I agree the first rd is a lousy place to be when looking at the draft as a whole
and why I bet trading down is going to be virtually impossible unless we get really lucky

I like Thinemen and would be happy with him at 20

Yeah. Thanks Jerry for trading our best first round pick in what is considered the best draft in the last 10 years. I really was not impressed with Quinnen last season either. Nobody is talking about what might be potentially one of the worst trades in Cowboys history.

Said the same thing several weeks ago. If this season goes to pot for GB or Dak gets hurt and the Cowboys crash and burn, we may regret that trade for years. No way I'm giving up both shots to NYJ at a high pick.

I am worried...
I like Allen, if I had to rank players, he'd probably be 30th or so healthy. But if the knee swelling now, nearly 5 months post injury, you've got to look at him as a 2nd round player.

I don't think they want a DL high. They already got their NT & 3T. The third guy shouldn't be a big money ticket. The eagles never did.
