Could we use him a returner? I know he did some returning at LSU or to valueable to risk?

No. He could return kicks at the college level, but I don't think he is good enough a KR to be that effective at the pro level.

The kid is a CB, let him play CB. Don't want him injured anyhow.

He could return kicks but I doubt they want to take a chance with him getting hurt returning them. I can see us a drafting a wide out in the 4th to make him return kicks.

Very, best in the Draft.

Where you seeing that? I see he averaged 25 yards a return with 1 TD as a kick returner and had 0 punt returns for 0 TDs in 2011.

Then why did you ask.

No. He should focus on playing CB.

Kick returns are not that important. Kickoffs are on the verge of being eliminated from the game. Punts are dangerous and not worth risking losing a top drawer player.

I hadn't heard anything about it and when you said he was the very best I <just had> to dig deeper in investigate.

He didnt run as much 2011 because they had Tyrann Mathieu

I think Dez is going to be our best punt returner, but they may not risk it

I think we should draft brandon boykin in the 3rd to develop as a cb and be our punt and kick returner

The Cowboys aren't going to risk Claiborne returning kicks unless it's as a situational returner. No way in hell do I see the Cowboys allowing him to return KO's that would be nuts but in certain situations where the opponent is backed up deep in their own end of the field they may give Claiborne an opportunity to return a punt in that situation. The Cowboys used Newman as a situational punt returner a few times when teams were backed up which gave him an opportunity for a good return.

You don't want to risk what will be your top corner returning kicks there's other less valuable players you can use to do that. If you lose one of those players you don't take a hit at a critical position. The last thing you want to have happen is lose a premier player who you traded up in the top 10 to get returning a damn kick.
