Claiborne did great

I know about it. It's another stupid statement in an ocean of monumentally idiotic statements made by people who claim to be "fans" of the Cowboys.

#1 pass defense in the NFL from the word go and we've got fans actually *****ing about our secondary. I'm absolutely dumbfounded.
Amen Casmith...I can't believe people aactually take this guy seriously. He must be laughing his butt off that he can actually convince people that he a Cowboys fan.

You need to revise your definition of shut down corner.

It's pretty simple....

to the regular guys who just watch football, but don't know much about the sport. If you get Int's or appear to be around the ball a lot, you are a shut down corner. No ifs, and's or buts

I almost shed a tear for his first NFL interception today. So proud!

People refuse to look at hard numbers and instead like to put on their tinfoil hats and spam "I KNOW WHAT I SAW" ad infinitum.
There has to be a balance though. Whether we have the #1 rated passing defense or not, if you give the secondary the eye test, that's not what you're going to see.

Are they playing well, yes. Are there things to improve on, absolutely.

And not for nothing, but if Cam Newton was accurate at all today, he probably goes for over 300. There were a couple really open guys that he just plain missed.

I would much rather have Norman caolina drafted in the 5 rd

instead we blow our wad on reaching for a average CB

6 games into both their careers, and you are already deciding which one is and will be better, huh?

And in the other thread you based this on TACKLES! Not pass coverage ability, but TACKLES!

You judged a cornerback by tackles, that proves how big of an idiot you are. Claiborne has performed AMAZING so far for a rookie. He's our number 1 performing corner so far on our team, and won't be surprised to see him in the top 20 by the end of the year. You're an idiot.

Do you honestly expect Claiborne to come out and perform like Deion? Get real. Claiborne is a future all-pro for years to come.

I like Claiborne. He is playing well. He is not, however, a shutdown corner.

there really is no such thing in the NFL anyway unless your last name is Revis (and even he gets beaten)

it was a different play call, it is easier to keep up with someone going straight down the field, than across as there are no bodies potentially in your way of keeping up

Unreal, we have allowed 1200 yards passing so far this year and people complian because every now and then the other team makes a play. WE have the number 2 defense in the NFL but that is not good enough. I swear some folks expect us to hold teams to 0 points and under 100 yards and if they are not, they think they are horrible players.

:hammer:

People act as if a completion should be impossible.

Claiborne will be a Cowboy his entire career. He is a talented player for sure.

Oh I'd say it's almost a given he will retire a Cowboy unless he flames out like TNew.
