Claiborne...

Yes, you certainly did.

But I have a lot of questions left unanswered. I wondered how we were going to play Jenkins and Carr given both were RCBs. Do we now move Jenkins? Do we move Carr, who has some size, to Safety?

These questions will all be answered with Jenkins goes down with an injury.

I think the dude's pretty tough, but he was cursed with a fragile body. That's probably the major reason the Cowboys aren't looking to retain him. I don't think it has to do with his skill level or effort.

Besides, if Jenkins is healthy and productive then Claiborne is still a rookie corner. Rookie corners would do well to sit and learn for a year. Plus he can return kicks/punts in the meantime. Our return game sucked last year.

A Rob Ryan attacking, blitz oriented defense only functions with stellar cornerbacks. This was the right move. I do have the same questions about Jenkins and Mo, this isn't fantasy football and it's not always so easy to swap RCB and LCB. But let's be realistic, in 4 years we expect Mo to be accumulating ProBowls, but I doubt Jenkins will be here.

To say I love this pick is an uderstatement. Awesome!! Really hope we can stll get a center and a slot WR and this team is gonna be tough to deal with asumming health.

OK, we'll put you down as "undecided"...

Are we going to address our glaring need at OL? How without our pick at 45?

Yeah, I am fooled, but are we missing the bigger picture focusing so much on DBs? I hope not.

Oh, and I hate the Steelers bad right now.

I'm really hating the Browns for taking Weedon when they could have taken DeCastro for Richardson to run behind and at the same time kept him away from the Steelers. The Browns had a need a guard too. I shouldn't be suprised. This is the same team that passed on Ben Roethlisberger because they had Charlie Frye.

All I know is after the pick I drove to five liquor stores trying to find the guy to get some day two info.

I spent 151.23 on booze and now have a DUI.

I think the DMN is cheaper.

Funniest post of the year... :laugh2:

you don't draft someone sixth overall to have him sit for a year.

Nickel corners are on the field 70% of the time in today's NFL. Even if Claiborne is at nickle, he will play a ton.

Like I said, Jenkins will probably get hurt. He always does. It's possible another guy (Scandrick or Carr) gets hurt. And in the meantime Claiborne can really help the special teams.

Or maybe Claiborne beats out Jenkins for the spot. That'd be pretty cool too. But even Revis was only average his rookie year, and merely good his second year. It wasn't until the third year that he looked like an elite corner.
