Garrett stood virtually still last night. I think I saw him clap once. He's cognizant of it. It's like he was actively working to not clap.

But that empty stare wasn't much better. LOL. And does he ever actually speak into that coaching mic?

He knows he has to win at least a playoff game this year. His team plays hard for him, but that's no longer enough.

OU's season ends on December 12th, and Lincoln Riley is going to get a call.

He knows what's up. You can tell.

Garrett should live in fear. Every person on the staff both team and player should.

It's a pay for performance profession - if you want it, better go get it because nobody's going to give it to you.

Exactly.

Ask any fan base. would you pay Jason Garrett five years,30 million?

Garrett looked more like the Coach he should always have been. He had a different presence about him last night. Duly noted. He had a Parcels like stare and determined look and some grit in his face. Not sure what is behind, but it was a welcomed change, then happy mad clapper. Maybe this guy will wake up and get some fire back into this team. Last night proved there is enough talent on the Cowboys to compete with anyone. We just have to bring it all together. Last night was a very impressive win and I'm not the most optimistic fan right now.

One, if he just now realized people hate his constant clapping, is he really that smart?

Two, I've said for years -- ever since he had his playcalling taken away -- I've never, ever seen a head coach speak into his mic less than Garrett. Sometimes he literally says nothing. It's like he's just an observer with timeout and challenge flag privileges.

Three, I don't think he's aware or afraid of being fired at all. He's a made man in the Jones family business and he knows it. All he has to do is stay relevant and he's back next year. The non clapping was just him reacting to fan criticism, same as we've seen so many times when game planning the offense after a week of criticism.

Jason Garrett, Vice President of Football Operations.

Lincoln Riley, Head Coach.

Kris Richard, Defensive Coordinator.

Done.

Except I don't know why you assume Riley would take this job. He'd have less control and a worse quarterback. I wouldn't make that move if I were him.

The quarterback thing is a good point.

But this is still the Dallas Freaking Cowboys. It's one of those gigs you just don't turn down.

I don't think he'd take the Cleveland job just to be with Baker because he'd have to move to Siberia. He's from around these parts, and I suspect he grew up a Cowboys fan.

I think he's fine at OU for sure. But this is the one job that I think he couldn't refuse if he was given a long contract on the front end.

Pure speculation. And a playoff win this year was never an ultimatum.

Have you asked yourself why Riley would come here instead of somewhere else ? And why does he want to leave Norman?

Your Sooner boomer stripes are showing. Sometimes your optimism comes off like a teenager.

Where else? College jobs are better than NFL jobs by a mile, for the most part. The Cowboys are an exception to that rule.

Garrett has to make the playoffs and play well when they get there.

What if Jerry backed up a bigger Brincks truck than the one the Davises gave Jon Gruden?

Jerry should buy the coffin off of that EaGirls' fan. Put JG's name on it and put it in front of JG's office.
Maybe that'll remind JG to coach more aggressively.

Not elite programs like in Norman. Plus the security is almost lifetime . And the money is close and power surpasses it. Your disdain for the college game is blurring your vision.

And your ultimatum for Garrett is laughable. This team isn’t going to the playoffs and no one thought it was.

Unless you think Riley wants to be OC. And again why here? Cleveland looks much more attractive for starters . Basically anywhere without Jerry.

Michael Gallup. Amari Cooper. Cole Beasley? Ezekiel Elliott. Possible 2nd round TE. A solid OL that will become semi-elite again with the return of Fredbeard.

He could always go back. Most Sooners fans are Cowboys fans, too, so they'd be pretty cool with it.

His offense translates perfectly because he runs all the formations that NFL teams do.

Two tight ends, I-formation, shotgun, single back, spread, pistol, screens, deep posts, crosses, etc, etc.

His offense is literally a combination of every offense. Just like McVay's.
