His Rookie year there was never a real instance where things were put on his shoulder until maybe that GB game. Remember his rookie year it was run heavy with Dak playing a very secondary role in operating that offense. The more they added to his plate the worst he got.

That is why Dallas is dead set on running the ball and getting more balanced.

The same was true of Romo. It's not coincidence that he had his best season as a pro with Murray putting up the most prolific season ever for a Cowboys RB.

The less the ball is any QBs hands via throwing (outside of maybe Dan Marino or Payton Manning) the better. This is a general fact of football. When a QB is throwing too much it usually means the team is down or unbalanced, both conditions not conducive to winning. Romo also threw 34 TDs that year, not much less than his maximum, but only threw 9 picks. Throwing it less means less chance of interceptions and that the team is scoring well in other ways too.

Although they have differences as QBs, Romo and Dak are basically the same guy. It's funny how so many don't remember Romo curling up in a fetal position in the playoffs. He was horrible in that Minnesota debacle vs Favre.

No QB in history was winning that game with the oline play.

I'm not sure is, the talk of him and it's his 10th season we should be focusing on how good he's been and his success, we're talking about him now like he's a 2 year starter with much more to learn!! Prescott hasn’t been the same since the injury against NE.

Add in no run or run defense, holes in the o-line, terrible receivers (save for one, maybe two), and a scheme so simplistic other defenses knew the plays better than Cowboy players, you wind up with a team that beats up on bad teams but doesn’t have the depth or discipline to beat well coached teams.

Dak “stared down the SEC” in his 4th year by sucking it up, not being able to beat any ranked team and was padding stats in garbage time, like he does here

I honestly believe there is a correlation between the FO's diminishing confidence in him and an aggressive upgrade to the run game. It's just me, but I see them indirectly admitting that the less the ball is in his hand, the better.

Six months ago, they made him the highest paid player ever. In those six months since, we have not upgraded our run game at all.

I will say this........some say it's him, others say he doesn't have enough talent around him. I don't know which it is but can both be true? Here's what I do know.......he played the GB like a free-agent rookie when ALL the marbles were aligned in his favor. There was no excuse for that whether you have a good or bad team and frankly I'm not sure he will ever recover from that gam

I think Hellman is a nasty little guy but he is sport on here. How can anyone argue differently?
