Clay Harbor's mock draft - Bijan Robinson to the Eagles?

Makes sense to me, just not at 10. If the Eagles end up trading down from pick #10 I think Bijan could be in play for them.

Miles Sanders is a free agent and we know the perils of paying a RB. Philly has an extra first round pick courtesy of the Saints.

Harbor was drafted by the Eagles in 2010, for what that's worth, but Robinson in that offense could be problematic.

- i believe Barkley will available as an UFA, as i don't see Giants being able to re-signing both before FA market opens, ..and they cannot franchise tag both players.
And a cornerstone franchise QB is going have more value than a starting RB, even a stud.

- The decision to not pick up Daniels fifth year option that could've play big in tagging Barkley is gonna come back to haunt them.
But they will have ample chances to try to replace Barkley (albeit not as good as Saquon) in what's supposedly deep RB class.

- But what if the Eagles decide they can move and maneuver the necessary cap space to sign Barkley as a free agent ?
Barkley is very elusive and a home run hitter- I don't see defenders just oil-slip off pre-ACL injury, but he showed he is still a stud.

- Robinson doesn't have the tread wear of Barkley, but he cannot match Barkley's home run fifth gear but he's just as equal to Saquon when it comes to
cut-back shifty elusiveness in traffic and in the holes,..

- I think Sanders is a good RB - but i never saw him as " Elite" . the backs like Barkley, McCaffrey,.. those elite backs and game changers, imo.
Sanders does not strike me as so extreme dangerous enuff that i'll lose sleep and have to go all out to game plan vs..

- But what if Philly decides to sign Saquon .. and use the 10th overall pick on a certain player they decide is a higher blue chipper than Robinson.

- Also keep this in mind., If Robinson runs poorly and disappoints at the pre-draft workouts - he could take a huge down fall, to he bottom of 1st rd.

That's my guess. Robinson will go to the Eagles before he's a Cowboy, and he should.

The Cowboys have too many needs to spend their first on a running back.

The Eagles don't draft RB's in the 1st, they also don't draft LB's that early. It's one of their player personnell staples. They are heavy analytics in both team building and playcalling. The Cowboys are only mildy curious about analytics. Jerry and Stephen are whimsical in team building and do whatever they want in the moment. Mike McCarthy only seems to "use" analtyics when he wants to justify a questionable game-time decision.


Last RB in the 1st? Keith Byars in 1986. Last LB? Jerrt Robinson in 1979.
