After signing Fletcher and Smoot, what's the Commanders' cap situation look like? Can't be good.

Man Commanders don't have an Salary Cap. Trust me if Moss get released I'll bet yall Commanders get him and like 4 more big-time free agents.

I don't know how they do but they get big time players on their team every year.

The jist of this is that Davis didn't want a 5 year 25-30 mill deal with the standard 10 mill or so in bonus -- he wants nearly the entire deal in bonus money.

The real issue here is that Davis will be 29 when the season starts - this will be his only big free agent payday. A guy like Dockery got what is basically a 5 year deal -- he'll be hitting the market again at 32. Davis won't get that opportunity.

Davis wants $12 million guaranteed, not close to $25 million. I think someone on here reported that he wants $23 million. That's outrageous. Nate Clements signed an $80 million deal and received $22 million guaranteed, there's no way Davis could be asking for up to $23 million guaranteed.

And I thought Davis was supposed to decide by now, what's the hold up? Maybe the Commanders front office isn't as dumb as we all thought they were. Next stop New York, Leonard?

Maybe its just me, but I gotta think the guy's a better option than Marco Rivera.

I agree.. Its not 2000 and 2007 Marco has had more back surgeries in the last year than T.O's finger surgeries. He is 35 and isnt getting any younger.

Not saying Leonard will ever sniff a pro browl but him at right guard would punish DT's. I can still picture Mike Patterson of the Eagles abusing poor Marco play after play with a bull rush. He wouldnt move Leonard like that.
