We will see. I do not believe Vince Young will go that early. I believe that Sean Payton will keep his #2 pick to start building his OL or DL, he has his
QB. The Titans are going with Lienart all the way, if any of you were an offensive coordinator and you had a QB for two years and you won the championship two years straight, then you move up to the NFL, and you had the chance to get that QB that you had in college, who already knows your system inside and out, plus your organization is positioning itself to get rid of the Vet QB either after one season, or before this season. What would you do?

I would go with the QB that I had won with, he knows my system inside and out, and whether we go with the old Vet one more season or just start out with the rookie, who has a good leg up because he knows the system already, he just needs the experience of playing against NFL defensive schemes every week.

I do not believe the Titans will draft VY, not with Chow and Fischer's USC connection, and Chow and Leinart's relationship.

VY, may go to Zona, but that would be a dumb move by Green, he needs to win now, but since he already messed up by letting McCown go and keeping washed up whatever his name is, (his name escapes me now). Green has to win now, and if he drafts VY, and he gets canned, the person who replaces him will certainly rush VY and that will be a major mistake, for the team, that new coach and VY's career.

If Oakland gets him it will be a mistake and will only hasten Norv's departure from Oakland.

Any team that needs to win now cannot not or should not draft VY, he will be a major project, and the coaches of that team will not have the time to wait on him.

But if they move him to WR, they will have instant success, and he will be an instant impact.
Just my opinion.

I agree with your argument for Leinart to the Titans.

I disagree with your argument on Vince Young to the Cardinals.

Yes, Warner is washed up. But let's look at what Young would bring to the Cards.

1. He has two terrific receivers in Fitzgerald and Boldin. He won't need that much time to find them in the shotgun, so he won't really have to read the defense that long.

2. He has Edge in the backfield which means the Cards won't see a lot of eight-man fronts, particularly with the wide receivers they have.

3. Edge can be used on dumps and screen plays, which fits a young, developing Qb who doesn't have a lot of experience reading defenses.

4. Young IS a powerful running Qb. The Cards have a shaky offensive line. And what is the best Qb weapon against a shaky line? A quarterback who can run.

5. Remember, Green had Culpepper, essentially a running quarterback. Yeah, he had a lot of passing yardage but look who he was throwing to - Randy Moss. He has two talented Qbs now.

6. Young is on his last leg. The future is Vince Young. That's why if Young gets passed the Jets (which he will) then he gets taken by Arizona.

If faced with a choice at #3 between Leinart & Young I have to believe Tennessee will opt for Leinart. Norm Chow is the current Titans offensive coordinator and Leinart's former USC coordinator. Why wouldn't they pick him? To me it's a no brainer because they know the product better. I think this idea they will take Young instead is all a smoke screen so the Jets won't trade up to #2.

Lets just hope they don't take the full 15 minutes getting the card filled out. :D

If I am Nawlins I take Mario Williams at #2 and get my OT in round 2. There will be better OTs at the top of round 2 than DEs most likely.

New Orleans already has two very good DEs in Will Smith and Charles Grant. What they don't have is a starting caliber LT, considering they just traded theirs to Atlanta for a mediocre safety and an undisclosed draft pick. Thus the pick here is Ferguson.

I have to say that the moves they have made, while not flashy, make a lot of sense. They'll have bookend tackles and a veteran QB who is perfect for Payton (the guy turns decent pro QBs into TD machines). They pick up some vet center after the June cuts and draft the best defensive player available at the top of the second round, and they're basically set at every position.
