Even if 3 guys (which is actually good in all seriousness) work out from this draft it just feels horrible because the FO had easy chances to move a little and take no-brainer upgrades especially on Defense. I am still perplexed by what they were doing. They BETTER be right on Parson's and the Rapper guy.

I don’t think they pick up LVE option
I like LVE and think when healthy he can play
But with parsons it’s not financially a good move to use the 5th year option
I hope he stays healthy this year and plays great
That’s a huge win for us
Defense is better this year and the comp we get for him will be better
I also think I’d be looking to move on from jaylon next year too
Jaylon isn’t as bad as some here think but I think you replace players with cheaper players when you can if you can get the same production
Cox isn’t gonna replace Jaylon but I’d be looking in next draft for a guy who could
Dak is cheap this year but will get higher over time
You handle that by keeping only the elite players and replacing the rest with rookie contract players

We could have got 5 really good players
We didn’t need all these picks and several won’t make the roster
There will be UDFA who beats out some of these guys
Some will and are worth a PS spot and may develop
But we could have got 5 guys ready to contribute year one

I think a lot of people, even non-experts (like people posting in a fan forum) are shocked at how bad the Front office messed their Defensive opportunities up. It was almost like they had NO CLUE what they were doing with Defense related opportunities...oh wait... what am I talking about? OF COURSE they have no idea what to do with the Defense. LOLOL

Just did more research on Joseph. Just don’t like him. Typical angry, attitude problem, hates authority type guy. Not likely to be committed and take coaching. Wants to be a rapper?

I would love to be wrong. And if this kid was just based in skill and talent I would like the pick.

Apple is a Company. Even though they own their OS on their products..it is out sold worldwide 10 to 1 or something crazy by Android, there is no monopoly by Company for Android. It is just an OS..kind of like Windows.. BUT if you are betting on Google (makers of Android/Chrome/etc vs Apple) then that is another bet. It's just Apple vs IBM again. IBM won last time...IBM let everyone load their OS.. and again Apple isn't doing it.

What does every Microsoft computer look exactly like? An apple computer. What does every android look like? An iPhone. Can’t beat apple. There is nooooo race. It’s over. Apple won.
 
My view of the draft depends wildly on what the defense is next year. Several of the players taken actually fit a 3-4 hybrid style defense, particularly the DE's taken in the 3rd round but I'll call out Parsons specifically. If Parsons is used in the old 4-3 cowboys style where the linebackers just get run over by offensive lineman who ignored the DT's, then he won't be of much value as a pick. If he is frequently lining up as a Lawrence Taylor type outside linebacker then he could really be nasty.

IMHO, many of the defenders taken look better in a 3-4 look than a 4-3 look:
Parsons - 3/4 OLB
Osa - 3/4 DE
Golston - 3/4 DE
Cox - 3/4 ILB
Bohanna - 3/4 DT
Obviously several of these guys can be a fit in a 4-3 but I just think that cowboyszone is underselling the idea that the team is changing formation and trying to get players to accomodate it.
