The New England Patriots are very close to signing Ravens OLB Adalius Thomas, the deal could still be announced today. While not completed the number will be basically be $7.5 million per year and $17 million guaranteed. The 49ers are the only real compeition at this point, but the Patriots have his ear and shortly probably his signature to go with it.

Not obscene

if it was an open and equal market then it would be way more simple. As it is now players know what a club has to spend and they take advantage given the budget the year previous. The cap hurts the game in my opinion.
Hypnotoad;1400788 said:Maybe more supply in the market can help offset these high outrageous prices.
abersonc;1400792 said:the owners say they need one. but really, even if the cap doubled, owners still would be seriously rich.
