Cleveland Indians change name to Cleveland Guardians

That is going to take some time to get used to. My son in law is a huge Indians fan and he is beside himself. Can there be Cowboys without Indians? Interesting times....

P.S. The Guardians is a terrible name they stole from an XFL team for crying out loud. They could've done way better.

I disagree though about it being “fabulous”.

They are being named after a couple random statues on a bridge. Cool statues to be sure. But still just a random choice that has no true significance or prestige.
