first my good buddy dc said he would put up the podcast, especially listen to the way brady calls out wade and what cliff harris has to say about pass rush, new stadium and needing leader on defense;

oh yeah in case anyone is interested, cliff harris said, that the giants were a former super bowl mentality team, from what he saw at the game and the cowboys were alittle nervous to him. That with jerry having the giants in as first game was maybe a disadvantage to the cowboys, because mentally the cowboys arent there yet as tough mentally team; cliff harris also said that this team really needs a tough get down dirty like player getting his knuckles bloddy to be the leader on defense and stop plays when needed. LIke DCFanatic said last night, this team needs a player to step up, say enough is enough, throw helmets in lockerroom, demand players play harder, have a closed meeting from coaches and have at it with players. Thats what this team needs to me on offense as well as defense. Its like the cowboys did midseason in 1971, when players on defense got mad at some players not laying it all out on the line, and said no one is getting into the endzone unless its over dead bodies.

Yeah, i know some of you might say, doesnt really matter about closed meetings but it does, look at the way the safety dawkins did with eagles when they were losing, look at the way strahan did in 2007 late in the year when he called the defensive line out and said were not playing like defensive players, teams have been kicking our rear ends, etc,

team closed meetings where you really get mad and rise up mentally tough does matter! even cliff harris said this team needs the cowboys for the qb to be the leader on the team too. Well, the leader cant non chalantly throw 3 interceptions either in a big game, thats been romo's downfall in big pressure games, he falls apart, doesnt come through in big games and we need a leader on defense too,

Actually I think players only meeting can have a positive effect as long as it stays behind closed doors afterwards. Normally in those meeting you hold back nothing and say what you think.

Who here thinks those guys didn't play hard the other night?

They made mistakes, but those guys played their tails off.

I'd like to hear from someone who thinks they didn't play hard.

I think they did play hard, I do think they were gassed late in the 4th but I think the Giants were pretty gassed on defense themselfs as Dallas marched for the TD to take the lead with ease

Seems a lot of people have their own ideals of what Romo needs to do. I think Romo needs to be careful of information overload. Romo knows how to play the game he just needs to be a bit more careful with the ball.

that goes back to the training camp issue with working in pads, hitting and tackling doesnt it, being in shape

of course didnt help with the humidty when jerry jones opened the doors and roof,

Where will the Cowboys try and find this bloody knuckles type of player?...It's to late for this season. maybe next year.

But even then wouldnt you expect that after all these years of basically the same group that someone or some people would step up to the plate? THis is beyond depressing.

thats true but sometimes you can learn something from the pros that have won superbowls and have had experience dealing with such issues;

Who the Giants? They had 4 players of their own having to take IV at halftime and they looked just as gassed as our guys did. I don't think anyone question Coughlin not sure why our guys would be beyond getting gassed in a game like that.

Thats the point, to a point, in each persons life, we all have had an issue where we faced a big issue in life, where we said, Enough is Enough, Thats it, no more, it stops here.

i dont think these players have gotten there yet, they are close, real close, you can look at wittens eyes the way he looks at the giants sometimes, like he is really ticked off. You just have to get to that boiling point where you kinda snap and say thats it. No More!

I agree, it wasnt lack of effort. It was just poor play.

Lack of effort is what we saw in that Philly game at the end of last season. Sunday night vs Giants was not that.

Sure you can but you have troy with his view, roger with his and montana with his and so on. Each man clearly worthy to talk about what makes a great QB but when you get that many voices in your head it can actually do more harm than good as each guy tends to have differing views.

which is of course the way 90% of the people wanted it...they all said "oh no!!! we're a dome team now!!!! we're doomed!!!!"...

so he plays with it open, and still you people complain.

yeah but i heard we had more players getting iv's than the giants

thats my point, we had more than the giants, and we have practiced in that stadium, the giants didnt;

i wasnt trying to sound like i was complaining, i didnt care one way or the other if doors were open with dome or not.

but i do think we learned from that issue now, in hot humid weather, especially when you have over 100,000 people in that stadium, you have it closed

just like that game sunday night, sure giants won, but it cost them, they have lost one of their star safeties now in phillips, it cost them now

you either learn from your mistakes or you dont,

we will know better the next time;
