I've heard of plenty of players-only meetings on losing teams that keep on losing.

Exactly.

And those are usually for desperate times anyway, not when you're 1-1 and just lost by two points on the last play of the game to one of the top teams in the league.

I swear, some fans would call for a players-only meeting after every first down we gave up.

thats true but sometimes you can learn something from the pros that have won superbowls and have had experience dealing with such issues;

And sometimes all you get is a bunch of "Old" envious, jealous, ego driven, guys, sitting on their pedestals dishing out criticisms.
Why do they say the "Hole" is in the roof of Texas stadium.
So God can watch His favorite team.
His favorite team would be listening to HIm.
His favorite team would be wearing HIs armor, "Truth and Righteousness".
And there is no "issue" He hasn't dealt with.
Many on our team listen to Him.
It is true "You can criticise a horse until he goes to the water.
But only encouragement will make him drink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't these "Old Guys", couch their words in an encourageing manner instead of just more "piling on".
After all this is suppose to be "Their" team.:banghead:

Who the Giants? They had 4 players of their own having to take IV at halftime and they looked just as gassed as our guys did. I don't think anyone question Coughlin not sure why our guys would be beyond getting gassed in a game like that.
Which is why I think opening the roof was a huge mistake.

Who here thinks those guys didn't play hard the other night?

They made mistakes, but those guys played their tails off.

I'd like to hear from someone who thinks they didn't play hard.

Jenkins and Scandrick are afraid to tackle. I think they are trying but are just afraid to stick their helmets in there. Maybe they think they are Deon's and don't have to tackle.

that is the irony, the dichotomy, the dicotyledon (hmmm) of that thar game.
I saw hustle, yes!
I also saw the monotonial and listless and unemotional play surface on many plays. Like some ran their routes/assignments for 85 percent then trailed off.

This team is often frustrating to watch.
but I trust a new coach can instill that missing link: leadership and red-faced, angry looks by the coach on the sidelines. It works. Belief me.

The players on the Dallas Cowboys can look at each other in the eye and demand accountability from Ratliff to Ken Hamlin or from DeMarcus Ware to Terrence Newman but do they have the burning desire to excel beyond and is that possible without strong leadership from the top of this organization.

If they don't demand accountability themselves, if the team doesn't take the reins, there is always the same excuse for the players that lose here in Dallas after they move on.....

Seems a lot of people have their own ideals of what Romo needs to do. I think Romo needs to be careful of information overload. Romo knows how to play the game he just needs to be a bit more careful with the ball.

Rom and the TEAM just needs to win, and not sloppy. Not saying it needs to be free of mistakes and penalties. But just a decent solid game.

Take the passing game from TB and running game from NY on Offense.
Take the Defensive running effort against NY, and the pressuer they put on the QB in TB [even though no sacks]. That will help the pass defense.

special teams are looking the best unit right now.

Give me that compbination for a few games. Then let's see where we are at and what everyone will be saying.

Just get a few wins. Period.

I didn't think the defense played all that hard.

I humbly and agreeably disagree.
Did you get the sense at times that the defense looks confused?
Maybe that and plus they lacked fire and swagger.
Or was it the Busch Light and fried tripas that clouded my view.

To me, lacking fire = not playing hard.

I think it was mostly the front 4 that I didn't think played that hard. Every time Eli was back it seemed like the pass rushers would get stonewalled and just give up.

team closed meetings where you really get mad and rise up mentally tough does matter! even cliff harris said this team needs the cowboys for the qb to be the leader on the team too. Well, the leader cant non chalantly throw 3 interceptions either in a big game, thats been romo's downfall in big pressure games, he falls apart, doesnt come through in big games and we need a leader on defense too,

I know it was a divisional game at home, but I think the "big game" phrase is getting thown around a bit too much. It was week 2.

I think alot of people need to take a deep breath and relax.
