"I'm just here to help out the team any way I can," said Frey, who ran for 4,485 yards at Lehighton, including 2,035 his senior year. "Right now I'm just learning the offense, and in whatever way they best want to use me, that's what I'll do."
.....
Frey was second to Todman, Connecticut's all-time leading rusher who left school a year early to become a sixth-round pick of the San Diego Chargers. Frey ran for 389 yards and four touchdowns on 75 carries last year. Over three seasons with the Huskies (he redshirted his freshman year), Frey accumulated 529 yards and seven TDs on 99 carries.
He was also the Huskies' leading kickoff returner, averaging 31.4 yards on 13 returns including a 95-yard touchdown return in the Fiesta Bowl. He averaged 27.3 yards on 48 returns in his career, returning two for scores.
