Clowney is reportedly asking for something in the range of $20 million per year, likely pricing himself out of a partnership with the Cowboys. It's been eerily quiet in regards to rumors around his potential 2020 destination. Only the Colts and Giants have seemingly been seriously linked to Clowney, and the former team went ahead and scooped up DeForest Buckner in a trade instead. This situation doesn't appear particularly close to coming to an end.

I know what he's asking for.

The question has been will he get what he's asking for. If he sits out there awhile, then I'd consider making a short term offer.

In terms of how good he is, the pendulum has swung from him being overrated to people now underrating him. If the market was so soft for a DE at $20MM a year and we could get him on a one year deal for like $15-16MM? Oh yeah, I'd consider that.

The Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson reports the Cowboys are not among the teams looking at potentially adding free agent Jadeveon Clowney.

Should of accepted that offer from Miami last year and been paid in brink trucks.

True as far as showing up when he feels like it, but why wouldn't he if on a one year prove it deal?

If he ends up taking something crazy like 1/12 from Seattle but Dallas lets Crawford hang around at 9 plus, no bueno.

We need a way to get better on DL outside of the draft or this defense wont be much better at all.

Clowney likely out of Cowboys price range

That has always been the case. Not exactly new news.

Well according to our current logic, he won't sign at all..not for that asking price

#1 over all pick in the draft. His college coach totally threw him under the bus because he was sooo lazy. Inconsistent motor at the Texans. Do not want !
